Let them withhold their food. After all, as Adam Smith put it, it is not from the generosity if the baker (farmer) that we get our bread.

If you are hoping on importation to fill the gap, remember that we run the borders, we can close Seme again plus other southern land borders.

We can handpick the foods to be imported from the ports because we are in charge of that sea access too. We can ban chicken and fish imports, alongside tomato and onions imports.

You might be in charge of several offices but when duty calls for men to take decisions about their survival as a people, your offices becomes irrelevant.

It's just that Southern Leaders don't have sense because if they do they should have taken agriculture seriously and let's see how the north survive when their foodstuffs are no longer needed in South.

We will strike you with acute darkness because no single litre of petroleum products will be allowed to go to the north.

Always remember to add west in the south, don't tag others in your stupidity. When things go bad,you say "we in the south but when it goes in your favour it's south west".

90% of oil Wells in the south are in the hand of Northerners as where given to them by suceeded military regimes, Akwa Ibom the highest producer of oil owned no single refinary or fuel depo but kaduna own the biggest refinary and many fuel depo are in the North. The oil wells should be rettieved back from Northerners and SOUTHERN oil money should not be use to develop North again after all this administration had no meaningful project sited in South south while there are railways,Super highways and many elephant projects including the one Jonathan abondon us to site for north when he was under the Fulanis juju influence

There are still people in the rural areas interested in farming. Not everyone leaves in the city. What they need is government support and fight against destroying herdsmen

No, what the government needs to do is to fund the police better....and also what Nigerians all need to do is to stop taking the laws into their hands.

Also there needs to be a way to register and track all the cows in this country. That way, cow rustlers can be easily caught.

Lastly, finish the railways, so that cows can be easily transported by rail....no more wandering about with cow, and constituting nuisance.

The entire south need to establish her own regional govt asap. High ti.e we bulshhhyt the useless fed govt.

We should have regional govt and start with security.. security at all levels especially for farmers and travellers.
Funds can be raised by tapping our own resources just like they are doing in zamfara and other northern states where they tap and mine their mineral resources...

All way na way. Finally the disintegration of 'Niger Area' has begun. No side can hold the others to ransom here. I think the SW can use this opportunity to show the North that it is not indispensable and also to stop seeing themselves as a demigod. Las las everything go arrange

Abeg how is Botswana doing it that they are able to export beef to Europe and other parts of the world? I know they don't have two heads.

For how long bros?
At max 2023. However, the money from oil with which you brag can be cut short remember?
Ban everything if you like, snuggling will be a profitable biz.
Sometime last year or so, tomatoes were scarce to find I knew a couple of guys that smuggled a lot of it from Cameroon, J5 things. Everything na settlement. If you like cut off everything, na you dey lose. You loss income to farmers. Shey na export you dey bank on?

Hope you've seen the headline where farmers are crying out for N10 billion lose in 1week.

That's one thing I've been trying to let you know. Loss of incomes to farmers.

You can't be fighting your customers when it's perishables you sell.
Those countries or markets you want to export to have similar produce & even more than they can consume. What makes you think they will absorb the large quantities you bring in?

I see igbo men cashing in on this opportunity.

Nigerians aren't masters of necessity and invention.

All they want is enough money to buy imports.

The mindset needs to change before we can get what we both want....

They weren’t, but with the current circumstances will leave nothing but more ways to improvise. I once said the disintegration of this country will start from the north. So far, I am right

From history till this day.... The southerners, westerners, easterners never depend on the northerners for food because each region have their own food they farm and eat.
We only trade food stuff because we have different farm products..... So it's meaningless if the northerners are thinking keeping their farm products to themselves will help them but the truth be told 80% of the farm products from the north you northerners don't eat ur produce...
IF SHARINGTHE COUNTRY COMES TO PLAY THE NORTHERNERS WILL UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF BLESSINGS FROM WEST, EAST, SOUTH

I like this idea, I only hope it gets worst. There is always a price to pay for any good thing. Our lands here in the south are fertile. If not for the getrich quick mentality here in the south, I see no reason why we should depend on the north for anything.

Nigeria is not going to disintegrate.

Too many interests, and too many interconnections...plus every town and village relies on oil money

Only way for Nigeria to split peacefully is for Nigeria's bits and parts to become exporters of industrial products, which is how the Czechoslovakia was able to split peacefully sans violence.

After they use their cows to destroy the farms in the south. Thank God our farmers can farm in peace now.
