Bible didn't ONLY instruct minister's or church workers but ALL BELIEVERS.

The verse is: If ANY be blameless, the husband of ONE WIFE...

The question is, are believers commanded to be blameless?

Just like reno, I have researched on this aspect and always drawn blanks.

Pornography and cigarettes were not commonplace occurrence when the bible was written.

Polygamy is not a sin. It not according to God's plan for man. But its not a sin that will take anyone to hell. What is a sin is adultery. Better to marry your side chics than be adulterous with them.

all Christian are to work for God one way or the other we are all called to evangelise that also is a ministry. we are all called to preach the word be instant in season...... that is another office we are all called to pray for others that is another ministry...etc

I believe polygamy is greed...it’s repackaged adultery......women are the same...trust me...

I believe no one can love his wives equally... so already there will be biasness....

if any woman tells u she’s fine with the fact that her husband is drilling another woman in the next room and will still put the same pen!s in her later on ....then u must believe I’m dangote...

well said a lot of Christian dogmatic creeds were imported from the English and Roman societies.

Polygamy is not a sin, but to be Church leader, Paul commanded that the person must not have more than a wife, beginning from deacon.
Anybody that takes church going serious will certainly end up becoming a leader, one way or the other with time, so as not to set a bad example, and to prepare oneself for it, be a husband to one wife.
Paul's admonition is necessary because, thou marriage is a blessing, it can distract one from walking with God, who should be our all.

The Bible talked about looking and lusting after another person who isn’t your wife or husband and that’s what pornography is basically..it also talked about all sexual uncleanliness and immorality and that’s what pornography is. It didn’t talk about smoking maybe because it wasn’t a Jewish culture but even then it wouldn’t have been a sin because the smoking they did back the was burning of natural herbs which were created by God himself. Just like drinking wine created by God himself isn’t a sin.

David or Abraham or Jacob wasn’t filled with the spirit of God right?

When it's about polygamy they remember Abraham, David and Solomon were not Christians and belong to the Old Testament but change conversation to tithe they start quoting Deuteronomy, Malachi etc in the Old Testament
