He is basically saying that he has given up on the racism fight. After taking the knee, they would still go ahead and call him monkey.

Very true.
Most white players are just going with the flow. The mob culture can kill

Kneeing to counter racism is very hypocritical when the real racism is still being practice in Broad day light.
Racism would not end but can be reduced. We have come a long way from 50, 100 or say 200 years ago. It's tougher for blacks and they cry out the most because they are often at the bottom of the food chain.
The premier League itself is a testament to that, I don't think their is any European football player in any sub saharan Africa football league. Africans themselves prefer to watch EPL or other white men's football league over theirs. The master/slave relationship is going to be around for a while, but it's still better than many years ago.

The Crowd is not always right.
Stand out from the Crowd.
Do you know what you are kneeling to??
Dare to be the Shadrach, Mesach and Abednago of your Generation.
I will do Exactly the same thing.

I only knee to GOD Almighty

Zaha refusal to take a knee has nothing to do with the crowd but because he sees it as an abused gesture tokinsm, he is a player who had taken spoken out against racism in sport and especially through SM but has been a direct victim of racial abuse. Not taking a knee is in-fact an anti-racism protest.

With the way black people are annoying if the roles were reversed and blacks were white's and whites black we for show them pepper

what nonsense are you rambling about now. Zaha standing is a protest to racism, he was abused by a minor some time back and nothing was done about it, the point of kneeling is to stand out, his standing is in fact a replication of the kneeling

How many white coaches and players do they have in the Nigerian League?

Stop comparing a homogeneous society with a heterogeneous one.

Season after season, black players make top 10 performers in the EPL. Yet, they never can graduate into coaching, get demonized for their lifestyle or living whilst their white counterparts are given a by.

It is disingenuous to make black people out to be anything but human and deserving of equal footing.

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha became the first Premier League player not to take a knee in solidarity with the anti-racism movement before Saturday's match against West Bromwich Albion.

He has been the target of racism multiple times in the past.

Taking the knee is one of the most meaningless gestures ever thought of. How does kneeling like clowns make a racist decide to stop hating other races? Doesn't even make a bit of sense.

The players are all taking it like a routine like warming up before a match or exchanging handshakes. It is not changing anything

that's how it should be. The racism is against blacks
Racism can also be against whites, Indians, Chinese or Arabs
The one you're referring to is the black lives matter movement which is actually political in colouration.
Since football has always stayed away from politics, bending the knee is actually a confusion to that ideal. More importantly that fight against racism is a political matter that needs political solutions not sports.
Football has suddenly found itself being held hostage under the guise of being politically correct.

While he’s entitled to his opinion, decision and action but I think there’s a bigger picture with taking the knee which is showing solidarity with the people who are directly affected by racism in which Zaha is part of that minority group(blacks) of such societies...

It’s not necessarily tokenism it’s just a way of saying we stand by you,and we’re with you a lot of clubs and the FA put a lot into dealing with and punishing racists already you can’t categorically say they encourage or enable racists you can’t directly blame football clubs or the FA for the actions of some asinine and low-bred individuals..racism is a societal problem.

If he’s saying tAking a knee won’t stop, and is not a way of fighting racism how is standing gonna solve it?especially when you have fellow blacks who are victims like you taking the knee.

I can’t really understand the msg he’s trying to pass across this action is that of someone who wants the spotlight and hugging attention don’t make it bout you bro...plus the gesture is ending at the end of this season,it’s not gonna be for a lifetime.

I predict in 2 months time, standing will become a normal thing among white players
most times some of you asked for what we can't give, down here tribalism is the order of the day. We all always cry racism like tribalism is not worst.

Black ppl are just mad....Why can't you develop your league so you can have your black coaches and whatever you want....Fellow black will steal the entire future of the country and still get support from his ppl

I thought I was the only one who thinks that taking a knee is just nonsense and public stunt. It doesn't have a significant contribution to anything remotely connected to fighting racism. Many players do it not because they like or believe in the message it carries.
Thank you Zaha for being courageous enough to voice 8t out... You are truly a man, I will never forget this gesture.
They show solidarity to a movement and yet you think it is nonsense.....if they don't you will still come and type rubbish
