Monogamy:Government grant doesn't mean it belong to the government. These Churches ensure the schools don't get delapidated, they are also stake holders. Kwara state government wants to over reach because they wanted to Islamize the mission schools, that's the agenda. |

360degreess: This is a silly response. Mere looking at the first sentence you made shows that you didn't really think through what you wrote. You said the bible says women should cover their hair. If you read the passage in context, you would see that the passage was talking about a church service. You can't compare a church service to a school as they are not the same. Secondly, you said women. Are the school students women or girls? That again should be another issue you ought to have considered. Now you said we follow our scholars instead of the Bible. Based on what you have just writ ten it appears you need them more than the Christians. As apostle Paul when he wrote that letter wrote to Jews and not Nigerians. And even if it was a matter of debate, the church is where the matter was being debated. While your previous points could be called ignorant responses, your concluding statement only shows how bigotry clouds common sense. You are asking a Christian school to go to Rivers state or whatever to relocate if they won't allow hijabs in Kwara state. The question now we should now ask is who declared Kwara a Muslim state? Are the founders of the school from Rivers state? Is there any state in Nigeria you can call a Christian state? You and MURIC that is demanding that they relocate, can't the Christians equally demand that you look for Muslim schools to attend if you won't abide by the school's dress code? We know that the odds are stacked against the Christians and they probably won't get justice but I suggest that all parties explore the justice system to resolve this crisis as truth be told, it's a trivial matter but religion has the tendency to amplify things more than they actually are. |

motayoayinde: Clever by half statistics The numbers of indigenous Lagosians are not up to 2m And they are fairly split even though you see a lot of Muslim dominance in Lagos politics courtesy Tinubu Ogun state Is majority Christian but not outright dominance more like 60/40 egba Sagamu Yewa iganmu are outright Christians Oyo / Osun Both have a Muslim majority however it’s more spilt in osun than oyo and it’s not outright dominance Kwara yoruba Majority Muslim with sizeable christin community especially kwara south Kogi west Majorly christains like 87% Ekiti Yes they are not a lot but they are more than lagosians and are 90% Christians. Indigenous Lagosians can’t boast of 90% Islam Ondo - 90% Christian The outright dominance of Christain in Ondo and Ekiti make Yoruba a majorly Christian group Also more Muslims have converted to Christianity than vice versa Yorubas are fairly split in the north I a Christian grew up in Kano Yoruba Muslims will never have the same benefits like Hausa who are 99% Yoruba is a fairly split so we have to manage it 1 Like |
