Juliusmalema: How did your hero Ojukwu die? He died a miserable man and dejected down the grave. FFK killed him by banging his wife in his presence and the coward as usual cannot do anything. This caused him serious HBP issues, he died fanning FFK banging his wife even in his bedroom, what a way to die? Ojukwu died shamelessly like an eedioot he is!! 22 Likes 3 Shares

saintmm: And he was against self determination by the Igbos? Go and research about the politics played by Midwest politicians. Awolowo was against it. It was a sound political exercise by Midwest leaders. And after the referendum, you guys drove the midwesterners out of Ibadan and that is respect for self determination? You all can lick his ass but you see mudwesterners, they don't even talk about him. |

what does this idiot know about Awo?. Some igbo commentators with their consistent wild accusations against the person of the late Awo. They keep spewing falsehoods passed down from the Biafra war about Awo down to their kids. They should look inwards more on the tribal politics of their past and present political leaders before pointing fingers at the usual scapegoats - the Yorubas. You won't see an Igbo person without the usual falsehoods about Awo and what he stood for. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Yeebos are pathetic. Seriously. Nnamdi Azikiwe could have been the first Prime Minister of Nigeria while Awolowo had offered to be his sidekick even though the latter was more knowledgeable and brilliant as shown by the difference in developmentt of their respective regions at the time. But Azikiwe, an unforgiving, tribalistic and nepotistic person preferred to sell the entire Southern Nigeria to the North by being a sidekick to the Fulanis. His people are now hiding in the bush trying to dislodge the Fulanis from their land. Poetic justice somebody? The more the Igbos keep on showing their rhetoric of hate and bile towards the Yorubas, the more I feel we should deport all of them when we get Yoruba nation. I mean, who would want to live with a rattlesnake in the same house? They all seem to have the same hatred against the Yorubas, both the educated and the illiterate. The old and the young. Male and female. Same narrative day in, day out. Always blaming the Yorubas for their woes. If not for the late Sage Awolowo, I'm sure the Igbos will have come out of the civil war as a tiny and insignificant minority tribe in Nigeria, that is if any of them remained. Awolowo was truly the saviour of the Igbos. His starvation policy brought the war to a quick end, while the Igbo leader Ojukwu wanted to drag the war on till eternity. He deprived his people of the food brought into through the food corridor opened for them by Awolowo. Ojukwu starved his people and fed himself and Igbo elites. He then took pictures of starving kids and mothers and tried to use them to garner pity from the international community. Ask yourselves, when he saw his people starving, why didn't he surrender and end the war? Because he purposely starved them to death. Awolowo kept the revenue for the eastern region during the war and made sure they were given that revenue to rebuild their region. He was the finance minister after all. He had a quarrel with the North because of this singular act. All that, "we rebuilt our cities ourselves after the war without help..." is a big irresponsible lie. This is the history that Igbo parents and grandparents won't tell the young ones. All they do is fabricate lies and make sure the next generation if Igbos are steeped in hatred for the Yorubas. Such a big shame. Chidoka was a minister during the Jonathan era. Ask him what he did for his Igbo people. But he will come and blame Awolowo for his own incompetence. If you're igbo and you share this man's sentiments, shame on you for real. Leave Papa Awolowo to rest in peace. He's not your Imo state governor, nor your Anambra state governor. Hold your leaders responsible and quit the blame game. 27 Likes 2 Shares |

Na this expired view this one is still nursing in the year 2021,Awo died since March 1987 if I am not mistaken, I wonder how many of this new generation even hear or know about Awolowo, the problem of this country is this selfish, self centered politicians like this Chijoka, who always bring back the past of other leaders to propagate their own selfish political agenda, Instead of preaching unity to the new generation, he is still talking about the past 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Our land is being destroyed and people are being raped and killed as at today instead of us to be talking of the way forward you people are still complaining over what happened more than fourth year ago with most of the actors dead. When some of us were not even born. Nigerians wake up! We can right most of the wrongs and leave a better Nigeria for our future generations. Let our reasoning not be clouded by past but be informed by current happenings and how we can make things right. Remember these politicians are just looking for ways to stir us up and use us to win and dump us later. Tell me who is Nigeria better for today. Who is enjoying Nigeria today? Is it the Yoruba, Ibo, middle belt, south south or common man in the North. Only the wicked, greedy polithiefcians. Think guys think! |
