Supporters of the weeping General should tune to NTA, Channels and other stations to listen to the results of the presidential eletion. May I please invite them to join the general in crying while Nigeria moves forward with the rest of us.

Foolish Southwest! Where is their political "savvyness" in this now? The North never forgets hurriedly and in the scheme of things, we need the North to return to power. They have always aligned with us but now we have betrayed them.

The North would be sure to frustrate our efforts for presidency from now on. We know that now, they will never vote a S Easterner but we need the North. However this alignment with the SS is going to cost us dearly because we know that the Easterner s who can never taste power would not vote a Yoruba man due to their sheer hatred for us.

Bad move SW.

It is your mentality that is foolish!

You vote for the most qualified and competent candidate, not which one you think will get your "tribe" back in power.

What a mentality!

INEC on recess, results still being verified and would be announced in about 30 minutes
for OGUN, FCT & ENUGU:
PDP:1364765
CPC:152983

It should be noted that PDP made the 25% requirement in the 3 states above, but CPC met the 25% requirement in only FCT (i.e one in three)

Lets be mature and not steer up unnecessary anger, all the contestants have the right to vote and be voted for; and all Nigerians have the right to vote for who they wish. No point insulting or taunting anybody. Lets all behave maturely

We can not continue to have losers as winners of elections in Nigeria. We can not continue to allow fraud to thrive in Nigeria. Where other states are 50% voters, SS and SE are having 80%, 90% and 100%. Let the riggers of this election as well as their families, supporters be cursed forever and may God never answer their prayers.[/size]

Danjohn, I know you are a nice guy and you really mean well for Nigeria. So can we put it this way: We all pray that GEJ will deliver the goods. Let's come together and move the nation forward. With the new mix in government and the renewed belief in democracy, we will succeed together.

efisher, in fairness to Jonathan he has strengthened our democracy with this election. Although this election is not perfect, it is a reflection of public opinion. That in itself is a step in the right direction. My hope and prayer is that Jonathan makes the Power (electricity) issue his top priority. If President Jonathan can light up Nigeria, that will restart the engine of our economy and begin the journey to towards making Nigeria great again. It is the job of those of us in the opposition to make sure that Jonathan keeps true to his promises.

May God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

The beauty of democracy is that the majority have their way while the minority have their say. So, if Nigerians have chosen Jonathan, all well and good. No sweat. At the end of the day, it's our country and we'll be silly not to wish he does well. That said, please, for the next four years, nobody -- especially the Jonathan warriors -- should make useless threads on this board, talking about how there's no light or how there's corruption.

You make your bed, you sleep in it.

@ahidjo

No need to scream. Go and recalculate your figures. no one is having 90% as you are saying. A state like Enugu has 1.3million voters but only about 800,000 voted. That gives a turnout of 60% which is not different from what you have in other states. Lets be truthful with figures please.

GEJ won by every standard. Look at the areas in Nigeria that represent Nigeria and have close to 90% credibility e.g. Abuja and Lagos. Is it not clear that the totality of NIGERIANS want GEJ? Anybody that cannot win Abuja and Lagos has a question mark. Whatever happened in the NW was cancelled out in SS and SE.

Yes, he did. The Northerners usually vote based on the direction they receive from their emirs and spiritual leaders. Ask the average Northern voter the reasons as to why he voted for Buhari, and said voter will continue to stammer. Ask said voter the merits of the issues, and you will hear nothing of substance.
