Handsomebb: The way some of you people talk in this forum ehn? HR managers uses private lines and email. There's nothing wrong with that. Besides not all companies are big. I once received mail from an HR manager in London, he used his personal mail. You people should just be calming down sha. |

firstworld:How can you blame your fellow HR in issues like this, well I'm not surprised, meeting some uncultured mannerless staffs at the bank makes me wonder how they successfully passed all levels of interviews, well now I got my answers....!! 1 Like |

Not sparing the lady's lack of etiquette, the interviewer ought to first introduce himself/herself. Hello, my name is LaExpert, am I speaking with this person? They need not add the name of the company, if on to the person, then a more proper introduction follows. |

That's not enough reason for her not to be hired. But it's rude when you call someone and the first thing the receiver says is "Who is this" |

Wisemfon:Sometimes I don't blame people for being rude on the phone. Just while I was sleeping, I got a call Three times from a private number from 1.59am to 2.05am. I lost my sleep and had to start playing video games till about 5am. |

Nicklaus619:Bro, I understand why you're pissed by her comment, but I don't think you should blame her much. Her behaviour was most likely influenced by experience. A lot of guys suddenly become nice to ladies they like to have a thing with without outrightly stating their intention. And when they finally do and get turned down, our dear nairaland people would blame the lady for being greedy by enjoying the goodies while pretending not to know the man's intent. Weird, I know, but this happens a lot. And I don't think this lady knew about your fiancee and had probably started developing feelings for you so she decided to know your mind, though maybe her presentation was f..u.cked up. In your shoes, I'd seat her down and explain to her that I have no ulterior motive and against what society says, some men can still be good to ladies for no other reason aside from being good people. She'd respect you and appreciate your help a whole lot more after such a discussion. I have this issue with ladies myself, and just recently I had to help a lady understand this difference after I noticed she'd started to read meanings to the little assistances I give her. She felt very embarrassed and won't stop apologising. We're cool now though. 1 Like |

omaclarry:HR, learn from your colleague. Stop play god man! If you were to ask that same person for favour, won't you start by introducing yourself? I know you people, too many over sabi on LinkedIn. |

toprealman: me no be HR, but if i call u nd u sound rude i go cut call, cos i always start my convo with greetings |
Re: Lady Loses Job Opportunity Due To Her Response To HR's Phonecall by toprealman: 8:44pm On Apr 07, 2021 |
omaclarry:You have to always remember that most people give you same energy you give them. Only very few can be in total control regardless of external factors. It is very rude to jump into a conversation with a "stranger" without introducing yourself PROPERLY. |

omaclarry:So the way I handle unknown numbers is pretty simple but very effective. Caller: Good morning Me: Good morning, Buhari Tinubu on the line. Please who am I speaking with...... Won't your head reset and make you do the very needful? These things are very basic brotherly. |
