Perfumes or roll on will not solve body odour one just have to take note of soaps and notice kind of foods one eating e.g red meats ,eggs and better to take probiotic every morning before meals cos I had similar problem as man mine was so strong I found it difficult staying around people all I had to do was to stop eating late and I drink hot water and cucumber avoid acidic foods and spicy foods also diary foods that could irritate your bowel but am still studying myself also I loose weight cos I avoid some foods okro and egusi and garri but now I don’t smell much and I always change my towels and use roll on I don’t use one pants twice 2 Likes 1 Share |

luminouz: She possibly had IBS.. People mistake the 2. Intermittent flatulence and body odour. It's likely IBS, if despite maintaining good hygiene and in times of increased stress or anxiety, a gentle whiff comes across... Quite common in those with a bit of junk/ backside? . For the trimethylaminuria... Below is an excerpt on treatment.... "Treatment for trimethylaminuria is focused on removing and preventing the bad odor. Options for treatment include diet modification, vitamin B12 (riboflavin) supplements, antibiotic treatment, and probiotics. Other supplements such as activated charcoal can help remove extra trimethylamine from the body"..... .Sissons for Medical News Today,. April. 2020 |

Tedpgrass: Irritable bowel syndrome? Don't think that's the case here. She doesnt rush to the toilet to shiit or fart when afraid or stressed na. When she sweats more, She becomes more pungent. There is no gentle whiff anything. The natural funk gets increased to several degrees. I know IBS. She doesn't have that. 1 Like |

Tedpgrass: Bro you're wise infact one of the wisest I have seen here nl, I wonder why niggas think with deodorant and self higeen you can stop body odor, that's just to an extent. Some you just have to seek medical attention. Because even if they soak you inside detol for ten years if you come out you go still smell... No offense. |

The bible says that my people perish for lack of knowledge. If you believe that fowl odor is due to lack of hygiene then I put it to you that poverty is due to laziness and that examination is the true test of knowledge. My brothers and sisters, I do understand that we try to condemn situations that don't affect us. I will like to see a post where people are been condemned for being poor by the rich. While I agree that unhygienic practices can make someone to stink but let's not forget that alot of people we come across might have known or unknown medical conditions that comtribute to this. Take for instance, trimethylaminuria for instance affects mostly African descendants and the only sign of this disease is odor from every part of the body which is due to a deficiency in a particular liver enzyme. Conditions like diabetes, ketoacidosis, hyperhidrosis, chronic liver disease and intake of certain medications can all lead to development of certain odors and due to the fact that our sense of smell are not used to these odors regularly, it is highlighted and gets our attention fast ( just like when you hear a music for the first time). Someone asked, don't their partner or family notice such odor, but the truth is this, our body is extremely advanced. In medicine, we have a process called downgrade pathways, what it means is that when you are exposed to a particular stimulus constantly, after a while, the body stop responding to it. Also genetic plays a role. Family members tends to have a particular type of body odor and hence can't pick up one another's scent. Again, some people have anosmia which means that they can't smell any thing and other people's sense of smell are selective or doesn't make a big deal out of odor and hence no flight response. So please, next time you come across someone who is not smelling nice, do not immediately conclude that hygiene is the problem rather be open minded. It is a stereotype that still needs to be eradicated from our world. It is very multifactorial. Let try to keep an open mind. If I am to approach someone in this situation, I will wait for a quiet, relaxed and jovial period, when only both of you are present and start by reaffirming my friendship and best interest. Ask the person if he/she is sick or have a chronic illness like irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease or small intestinal bacteria overgrowth as these three things can cause leaky gut syndrome ( which allows gases and toxic from the colon to get to the skin). If the answer is no, ask the about their food habit and daily liquid intake, if it's all well balanced, the person him or her self will be curious and might ask why all the questions. If they ask, you can now tell the person that you have been noticing a change in his or her odor for a duration of time and its very important to mention when yoh first noticed it as it will help jog the person memory incase a change happened within that time. Now, you can both start working towards the healing process. If you come out from no where with useless jabs or jokes or gifts, it makes you look stupid. Will you want a doctor to announce the death of your loved one by giving you a funeral home brochure, no. When you follow the process I outlined, it makes the person feel comfortable first, relaxed, and willing to open up and not ashamed, jumpy and anxious. I believe that we still have alot to learn. Nothing moves me anymore but I have learn to analyse issues all round before making a conclusion. Please if you are reading this and you have a case of mild or strong odor that can't be healed or dealt with by any means possible, please don't beat up your self because it's understandable the amount of social stigma that goes along with it. Please go to rareconnect.org and search for trimethylaminuria community, you will learn everything you need to learn. For some people, Tom Ford of 100k, is not the answer but eliminating 80% of the normal food everyone eats because choline and it's derivatives has to be eliminated at all cost and even at that hundreds of dollars has to be spent on supplements like B2, active charcoal and copper chlorophyll. And in all of this, it will only be reduced by 80% max. Please next time you come across someone, think, analyse, show empathy and then speak. 9 Likes 3 Shares |

luminouz: There are different varieties of IBS.. It fluctuates as well depending on age, food diary modulation and use of treatment regimes... 3 recognised types.. Constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence or a combination of the above. If she has associated cramps, abdominal distension which is often camouflaged as a coping mechanism, that's more likely IBS than FMO3 gene depletion or mutation. . There are overlaps with trimethylaminuria |

Tedpgrass: Bro,I know all these technical stuffs you posted there. No one on Earth would tell me that girl's issue is IBS, except you. She doesn't fart or shiit when she is scared or afraid or sweats too much. Her funk (normally noticeable but bearable) gets unbearably funky. How is it IBS when nothing is wrong with her bowels na? Her sweat glands pour out such funk, not her bowels. |

Tedpgrass: The sexually transmitted infection (STI) trichomoniasis also causes odor. Other STIs, like chlamydia and gonorrhea, don't usually have odors. Although less common, cervical or vaginal cancer can also change your vagina's smell.27 Jan 2021 You see the truth if they tell them make they use condoms they no de gree... She may not have money to buy some personal effects. Get her a basic deodorant, cream, soap, and some little money. If after a week, she still has body odor, then it may be something else. |

I had an experience years ago that gave me a different perspective on this issue. This young lady started working in the accounts department of my office and I fancied her and befriended her. She was beautiful, smart and good natured, but I noticed she had bad breath everyday. I finally worked up the courage to tell her during lunch one day and she opened up and told me it was a chronic problem she had endured since she was a teenager. According to her she had tried every remedy under the sun including doctors but nothing worked. She said she had lived like a hermit for a long time, avoiding social gatherings because of it. But the part of it that broke my heart was when she said she lived in mortal fear of the embarrassment of someone telling her. She was crying so much that she told me she would just go home from the lunch break. That was the last I saw her. She stopped coming to work without officially resigning and she wouldn't pick anyone's calls either. I sent her a WhatsApp message to ask if our conversation had anything to do with her abandoning her job and she said she couldn't face me again. She politely asked me not to contact her again. I felt so bad about this for months. I actually kept checking her Facebook page discreetly to be sure she was OK because she mentioned having suicidal thoughts sometimes because of the bad breath. |

Deydontknow: Agree with you to a degree sir.. With Odours, a distinction has to be made with place of origin. Broadly speaking.. 1. Body odour - permanent, variable.. Discussed most causes in above mentions 2. Mouth odour - halitosis - local (gingivitis-periodontal disease) or --systemic (liver failure, diabetes, some chronic lung dx and renal conditions etc) , FMO3 gene. 3. Vaginal odour - - infections are varied but bacterial vaginosis is commonest culprit, overwhelming candidiasis as seen in HIV patients, fibroids?: particularly necrotic polypoid types, infection post-abortion, infection after use of vaginal douches, late stage cervical cancers 4. Nether regions B. O Tends to be with certain posture, during se..x and related to uterine fibroids - particularly cervical and perineal hernias largely post childbirth.... Found largely in thick women. As anal se x with routine bowel preparation and care become more acceptable, 3 and 4 reasons may be on the decline.. Ps. I'm NOT advocating anal se x by the way. . 1 Like |
