TAO11:
The word “Alla” in Arabic is NOT the same as the Arabic name “Allah”.

The following Arabic words has meanings as follows:

“Alla” — meaning “Except”

“Allah” meaning “God” (lit. “the self-existent, perfect being”).

Secondly, the following Yoruba words have meanings as follows:

“Àlà” — meaning: “White cloth”

“Àlá” — meaning: “Dream”

“Alá” — a prefix meaning: “One who has”

“Ãlà” (i.e. Ààlà) meaning: “Boundary”

Stop the deception.

Cheers!
Lol! This is the 21st century disappointment fo thinking in this manner! Anyway, linguists dont look for your kind of lame excuse.

Beside, the descriptive word for creator in Yoruba language ela/ila is same with both Arabic and ancient Hebrew. So sudden, you forgotten , yoruba do write orunm-ila and Arabs do write il rml(root)~divination. And Hebrew calls Ifaod. grin All of these names have cognates with yoruba language.

Least I forget, if you think I dont know Arabic, dont I also know ancient hebrew ? A rareknowledge anyone anybody can't know easily. Meanwhile Arabic is a small fry when you compare a language that has left Near East thousands of years but as liturgy presently. A language that, I can read! coolwith comfort that has been pronunced as 'Isolate'.

Despite your claim on your knowledge of semitic Arabic inscription, so also, I have sheik , who read the exact 1651 Buba Ahmed for me and told me,the word is Yarb/Yarba! And was contesting the identity because
lecture in faculty of business administration.

Now, if you arent ignorant of these writing, then whydidnt you realise 'Y' is ee sound in semitic to understand the name of yoruba ancestor.

Cheers

.

I laugh every time I see things like this, yoruba, IBO, Hausa are languages that were all LATINIZED not one single one of them and most languages and pronunciation in Africa except for the Ethiopians (Aramic), Egypt( Coptic) had theirs well grounded, Nsibidi was learnt as one climbed higher in the society or the earlier you joined a privilege class of people.

Now that the British who used their vowels/consonants to help in writing our languages and pronunciations when I very well know an Ikeja man don't speak like a Badagry, ogbomoso, Okitipupa, Ekiti man. Instead we have "wannabes" historians trying to use LATINIZED words to conjure RUBBISH
Aramic and Coptic speakers don't need all these rubbish as they have rightly document their history in their words and pronunciations and not one lacking in this but wanting to justify MANIPULATIONs using vowels and consonants that are in variants among their entire group from villages to villages and sadly not developed by them.

Can "White" be said to be white in words and pronunciation in every Yoruba speaking villages?

Idont need to lecture. I am tired of messing up a thread solely meant for it purpose .

Anyone with a shred of IQ who has been following this must have seen that you’ve been exposed as an ignorant sham. But I would do more damage as will be seen below.

Olu317:
Lol! This is the 21st century disappointment fo thinking in this manner! Anyway, linguists dont look for your kind of lame excuse.
Did you just say “linguists”?

You must be dreaming for a living if you think linguists sit down and hallucinate like you’ve been doing.

Beside, the descriptive word for creator in Yoruba language ela/ila is same with both Arabic and ancient Hebrew
No! What you’ve written is alien to the Yoruba word for “creator”. The Yoruba word for “creator” is “Aṣẹ̀dá,” or “Ẹlẹ́dã”. Stop the fraud.

So sudden, you forgotten , yoruba do write orunm-ila and Arabs do write il rml(root)~divination. And Hebrew calls Ifaod. grin All of these names have cognates with yoruba language.
Oh Gosh! Face palms! You need deliverance. I’m serious.

Anyways, to educate you before deliverance, the Arabic root word “Ra-Ma-La” has nothing to do with “Orunmila”.

The Arabic triliteral root “Ra-Ma-La” means “[he] wove,” or “[he] interknitted”. lipsrsealed

The Yoruba word “Orunmila,” on the other hand, literally means “Heaven knows who shall be saved”.

Even the so-called Hebrew “Ifoad” that you wrote is probably another sham that you can’t produce any Hebrew dictionary (with a name) to support.

Stop hallucinating Olu, cognates are not determined on the basis of apparently similar sounds, or roman orthographies. Cognates are way deeper than such kindergarten outlook.

To determine cognates, the languages first have to come from a common immediate parent language.

And as far as Yoruba and Arabic/Hebrew languages are concerned, linguists’ conclusion is that Yoruba does not fit into the same language family as these other two.

Pastor Olumide Lucas (NOT a linguist by the way) who tried his hands on your type of pseudo-linguistic quest in 1948 was terribly refuted by linguists. Don’t be like Pastor Olumide Lucas, be like linguists.

Least I forget, if you think I dont know Arabic, dont I also know ancient hebrew ? A rareknowledge anyone anybody can't know easily.
I don’t think you don’t know Arabic. I and you know that you have no clue on Arabic.

I have not had the time to personally crosscheck your ridiculous claims on Hebrew, but @macof has done a great job exposing you on that.

Meanwhile Arabic is a small fry when you compare a language that has left Near East thousands of years but as liturgy presently. A language that, I can read! coolwith comfort that has been pronunced as 'Isolate'.
Can you retype this in English language? I’m sure you’re just stringing whatever word crosses your mind in a desperate attempt to sound smart.

You have no clue the amount of damage you’re doing to your own brain with this fraudulent pursuit you’ve embarked on.

Despite your claim on your knowledge of semitic Arabic inscription, so also, I have sheik , who read the exact 1651 Buba Ahmed for me and told me,the word is Yarb/Yarba! And was contesting the identity because lecture in faculty of business administration.
First of all Arabic is Arabic. Why the childish stress of typing “Semitic Arabic inscriptions” just to sound smart? Abi there are some Arabic that are not Semitic ni?? Lol.

Secondly, it is NOT “sheik,” it is “sheikh”. Having said that, I am very certain that your Sheikh No-Name (whom no one can verify) is in no way an authority in comparison to Fatima Harrak and John Hunwick, who are scholars of classical Arabic manuscripts, and who have prepared that translation of that manuscript.

Also, there is no such thing as Buba Ahmed, neither is there anything as 1651 in this context. You need to be helped ASAP!

Now, if you arent ignorant of these writing, then whydidnt you realise 'Y' is ee sound in semitic to understand the name of yoruba ancestor.
Sighs! “‘Y’ is ee sound in semitic” or what rubbish did I just read??

See if you must learn, the best way to go about it is to come out plain. Admit your ignorance without shame and without mincing words.

If you do so, I am willing to carve out some time for you for proper schooling — free of charge.

Stop the approach of pushing out crap in the hope that I will reply you with the precise correction.

Also Google won’t really help you as much as you think. It will only compound your embarrassment in front of me, and it has been doing so.

Come out plain, admit your limit before me (which I’ve noticed already even if you choose not to admit it), then we can agree on a schedule on when and how to begin schooling you.

You see,it's from the beggining I saw this coming when you asked me to furnish you my research on my claims. So, all these fruitless effort on this issue remained farther than your understanding . Kindly read to enhance your knowledge on Ori concept through Awo's explanation and one that's worth quoting is on 'Creator' ~Eleda by Babasehinde Ademuleya's account on below screenshot.

Orunmila means heaven knows who will be save ? Hysterically because I had mentioned this earlier, that you dont have much knowledge on traditional terms of Yoruba Ifaodu corpus! Oru- Mi e la ( simply decribe how life and light came to manifest from invisible realm to visible realm and it has nothing to do with chaotic missionaries wrong interpretation . People who do not know Bara or Obara is a name of Eṣù or Yeṣùá. Instead, Bara and Ifa are translated as god of mischief. grin And youuse same analogy to define Rumiela

Do you actually think every word inYoruba dictionary actually connote what is spoken daily ? I will advice to get acquitted with yoruba language ? Are you aware other Yoruba dialects have fewer Arabic influence as compared to Oyo's ? This doesnt mean anything as relating to Northern Hausa but mingling with Arabs at one time and the other.

Lastly I have seen the errors in Yoruba christians missionaries dictionaries and it differs from traditional definition of these same power in multidimensional angle working for Godhead (Ori).

First of all, you must stop attaching screeshots of the crappy book you claim to be writing. It does not count as evidence.

Secondly, the only rEsEaRcH you may have done is the rEsEaRcH of crap, absurdity, and irrelevancies.

You must (going forward) begin to bring authoritative materials to back up whatever joke you’re cracking.

And make sure the authoritative material does NOT disgrace you as it has done earlier in the case of your gymnastics with the meaningless “kèrè”

Now to the specific issue at hand here, you lied that the Yoruba word for “creator” w.r.t. God is: “ela” or “ila”.

You provided no evidence for this claim. No dictionary, no lexicon, nothing, zero.

In my reply, I shut down the lie and educated you that the Yoruba word for “creator” w.r.t. God is: “aṣẹ̀dá,” or “ẹlẹ́dã,” or even “adẹ̀dã”.

Refer to the attached screenshot of an English-Yoruba lexicon from page 34 of CMS’s “Dictionary of Yoruba Language,” 1913.

You should be checked into a mental asylum ASAP! I’m not kidding. Go and self report.

You’ve been somersaulting from one fraud to another upon exposure. You could not provide one shred of evidence to back up the nonsensical words you’ve been making up all along and claiming as Yoruba words, such as — Ifoadu, Yeṣùá, Rumiela, etc.

For the umpteenth time the name “Orunmila” has not a thing in common with the meaningless frauds you’ve been making up.

Classical Yoruba dictionaries contain words which are representative of what is spoken at the time. Not the 21st century hallucinations in your head for which you need help.

Lastly I have seen the errors in Yoruba christians missionaries dictionaries and it differs from traditional definition of these same power in multidimensional angle working for Godhead (Ori).
You’ve seen error in Yoruba Christian classical dictionaries of Yoruba language from the 1800s. Shebi when I said you’re a psycho, some people may think it’s a joke. It’s not a joke oo. I mean it. Olu, seek help.

Yorubas were not organized before the country Nigeria was formed

They lived in clans and came together to fight each other if provoked by a particular clan

There was no strong ruler who governed them
Their political system was decentralized

So when an external culture comes they decide personally to adopt or reject, most clans yoruba found the Islamic religion attractive and accepted it, unlike the benin who had strong political bureaucracy which was politically centralized

Their Islamic influence came from the north, they were some fragmented Yoruba muslims before the war of afonja, the war of afonja further expanded it,

If not for the britsh arrival most yorubas would

What I want him to know is that the Abo-kis brought Islam to their land, not Arabs.
As for them having a central leader, yes they did have but greed was and still remaines their Waterloo.

Oga stop saying nonsense.

(1) Nobody enters the Kaaba with the back — bring your evidence if you must remain ignorant.

(2) I didn’t talk about about black stone at any point. So, stop the childish distraction. And the black stone does not belong to Abraham, anyways.

(3) Nobody dances around the Kaaba in Islam — bring your evidence if you must remain ignorant.

(4) Nobody throws stone to any devil at Mecca, it is done at Mina (a different city) — bring your evidence if you must remain ignorant.

First of all, you clearly know absolutely nothing about tonal diacritics of Yoruba words. Humble yourself I may teach you that — free of charge.

Secondly, the dictionary you attached does not support one thing from what you’ve been typing — not one thing.

You said “kèrè” (a meaningless word) has the meaning “proclamation”.

Yet the closest thing to it on your screenshot is “kéré” meaning “small,” or “little”.

Why are you embarrassing yourself all around?

You too have seen the guy is a slowpoke suffering from some mental problems hindering cognition.

He can't process information logically but rather through preconceived sentimental notions, so for him facts are shaped by his super powers of thinking it into reality grin.. Rather than allowing his thoughts be shaped by facts. That's why the overwhelming majority of his posts on this forum are nonsense and he is confident enough to start documentation of the kind of posts he makes here for publication grin I pity the people that will use money to buy the book

That's how he started with claiming "kèrè" (a non existent word as far as I'm concerned) means proclamation only to post a dictionary screenshot showing only "kéré" meaning small
Like how does that help his argument
Somehow "kéré" is supposed to magically transform to "kèrè" and adopt the meaning "proclamation" grin grin

That guy is irredeemable.

Yorubas such as una type make me laugh because you are uneducated linguistically. You people are the set of ignorants that make people assume Yoruba as twisting her oral history. No wonder,Rev Ajayi crowder, who is your mentor and hero did serious damage to support una nonentity ideology of yoruba being originated from West Africa; Present day Nigeria. Lol

On the subject matter, kindly help me with any international standard of transcribing the 'i' of Yoruba if it falls within proper Yoruba pronunciation . ìrú ìrú ọbẹ̀ gbẹ̀gírí angry cheesy

Plainly, International Phonetic Alphabet(IPA)is a system of transcribing the sounds of languages which consists of some Latin and Greek letters (the pattern Yoruba copied) and a variety of additional symbols and diacritics, has shown that the objective of trancribing is to represent each recognisable sound in a unique fashion. The IPA was developed at the end of the last century; the acronym stands for International Phonetic Alphabet. Examples:

Yoruba: 'i', being pronunce as e doesnt fall within the correct accent as be. Instead itis 'bi'

Standardly 'i' is pronunced as 'ai'

1.Hi/hi=
Pronunciation
IPA: /haɪ/

2. By=
Pronunciation
(British, America) enPR: bī, IPA: /baɪ/

bi-=
Pronunciation
IPA: /baɪ-/, /bɪ-/
Example

Pronunciation
(RP, GA) IPA: /aɪ/
(Southern American English) IPA: /aː/
(AU, New Zealand) IPA: /ɑe/
