Then it was like security of all Construction sites in UK were handed over to Nigerians ( students and people without papers) and UK cleaning jobs to Ghanaians, till all those small countries joined EU and took over the two jobs.

We go to class in the morning, go home to rest for few hours and go to the site to read all night.
The job was so easy, our only duty was to call police if we see any intruders.

However I later discovered that there were many other jobs like Software Testing, Forex Trading etc

My advice is that you should go and meet your Pastor and tell him to introduce you to people in your field, who came to Canada with students visa ( stop hanging out with guys who has different type of visa )

Truth be told. I usually think that I would be able to work whenever I leave Nigeria for studies abroad. But I am here now and sometimes I wonder how I would be able to have supported myself if I was not sponsored by the school. To even find time for oneself after project reports, assignments and reading for exams is too hectic.
Thank God for scholarships.

NB: if you have to work abroad you may have to sacrifice your academic results for the cash. If you're for your academic pursuits, you better leave the job thingy.

You'll be fine stop panicking. Look for cash and carry stores there you can get a cash at hand job to support you. Get your dbs sorted and you can be uber driver or taxi driver

As a student, you have about 20 hours a week to work. Anything more than that authorities will come after you.

The best jobs you can as a student in Canada is logistics whether it is Warehouse or Delivery, logistics is the best option.

At the same time, I completed a part-time degree in Physic and another Degree in aerospace Engr and 15 years later I am now a director of a software company with homes in the Caribbean, Spain and London.

I will do what it takes to pay my bills, I never ask for a handout or take loans except from a bank.
