1. The first school of thought tells us that the soul goes to heaven or hell immediately depending on the choices made while on Earth citing Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

2. Another school of thought tells us that the soul doesn't go to heaven or hell immediately, but all soul is resting either in Abraham's bosom or Hades pending the rapture of the saints. It is said that if souls were already in heaven or hell, why would they need to rise up to reign with Jesus, or why will the bad ones rise up to the great white throne Judgement?? This school of thought believes that no one is in the lake of fire or heaven yet.


3. This school of thought believes the dead is dead and gone forever... There's no heaven or lake of fire.

Back to the afterlife where it came from. Life does not being at birth and the soul existed before birth.

After the global deluge that wiped out all living creatures on dry land no creatures survived except sea creatures that lives in water. The giants, their mothers and all those who refused to join Noah in the Ark perished, but what about those angels with materialised bodies? Of course they survived because their continuous existence doesn't depend on their materialised bodies, they dematerialized and returned to heaven as angels once again but God surprised them by setting up a barrier between them and His loyal spirit sons. 2Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6

Now what's their mission?
Since they're aware that God is planning to destroy them they are determined to get Him annoyed to the point of wiping out all living creatures on planet earth most especially humans.

What is resurrection? So when the spirit leaves the body at death, it returns to its owner ie God. And the body back to dust. ..If the body is in coma. That is a different thing. People can be in coma for days. Which is what I am suspecting happened to Jesus. John said in his gospel that Nicodemus and Joseph brought Myrhh and aloes about a hundred pounds weight. Those are herbs used for healing and not for embalming...

After death, the dead stops to exist or being conscious of anything (Ecclesiastes 9:5,6) until God's appointed time that every dead, both righteous and unrighteous would be resurrected (John 5:28,29); that is when judgment will take place to determine where individuals belong (Revelation 20:11,12).

As at now, nobody (except Jesus) has gone to heaven, every dead person is still in the tomb (John 3:13).
