And the consequences were over 3 million lives of inyameri pigs in addition to condemning inyameri to slavery permanently.

If the Sardauna had only kept that bat and managed to Whack that on Nzeogwu’s head on that fateful night , may be it would have been enough to reset Nzeogwu’s brain and Nigeria’s Post independence History

With respect to the Sardauna

he may just have been trying his hand at Cricket during a School Visit

His uniform was more appropriate for Parachuting and Sky diving than for Cricket

That's not a standard criciket pitch in the picture...that looks more like a practice pitch

Here is a video of the England national cricket team batsmen practicing their batting...in similar 'cages/nets'

Very superb sports kit. I believe the International cricket council will love to adopt this. He handled the cricket bat with seriousness as though he wanted to cut suya.
You mean the parachute?

Great man!
He is the brain behind the Kanji Dam that today powers most cities in Nigeria including of the cities of those who hate him and his descendants even after producing those who murdered this great man.

What the leaders of Egypt couldn't see to sign agreement with Sudan and Ethiopia, Sir Ahmadu Bello saw and got our neighbouring countries to sign not to build dams over the River Niger after we built Kainji Dam and up till today, that agreement is still in force.

Today Egypt is getting ready to go to war with Ethiopia over over the dam Ethiopia is building over the River Nile because they lack brilliant, hardworking and visionary leaders like Sir Ahmadu Bello.

Sir Ahmadu Bello was a visionary leader like most of his peers of that era and it is still sad that Igbo officers without the mandate of the Igbo race went on to murder him and leaders of other regions sparing the lives of their own leaders.

I pray Nigeria get great leaders like Sir Ahmadu Bello. God bless Nigeria.
You mean Major Ademoyega was among his murderers?

If we had waited until 1970 or 1980 to get independence Nigeria would be better today. I believe we were not ripe for independence in 1960

Oh we were very ripe for independence in 1960.

Plus, your analogy is flawed. Zimbabwe got 'independent' in 1980...and they are now very backward.

Our problem is that the basis of our economic development is selling raw materials...whose prices we don't control. When the price drops below sustenance level...we have to take loans. The end result is chronic brokeness...as we are paying off debts when prices rise...so we don't see the benefit, and when the price falls...we keep paying debts, and taking new loans to keep our heads above water.

Yeah, he did author 'Why we struck'....where he mentioned taking part in pre-coup surveilance ..and also outliend the coups aims and objectives.

If not for Major kaduna Nzeogu this jihadist could have succeeded in islamizing the whole southern nigeria by now.

Highly unlikely.

The man , while something of an islamic evangelist....also had to contend with growing Middle belt independence and assertiveness. Indeed there was a move for a creation of a MiddLE Belt region before the 1966 coup.

The creation of states , in 1967, was not just directed against Biafra, but also a gift to the Middle Belt, and other minorities.

Had there been no coup, the Northern region would have divided into two regions...peacefully, or after conflict.

At the time of this picture your ancestors where still roaming around bushes naked.

A good proportion of our ancestors wore clothes, travelled by car, and rail, and a few had travelled by ocean and by the air respectively back then.

Sir Ahmed Bello founding fathers of the Northern protectorate.

He had nothing to do with the founding of the Northern Portectrate, considering he was not yet born when its formation was finalised, and he was a 4 year old when Nigeria was amalgamated. (Awo was five years old, and Zik was nine to ten years old then).

Maybe it was a function or something. That’s a beautiful picture by the way.
Function ko, dysfunction no...how in the world do you explain away the misadventure of wearing robes to flag off or "function " in your own words for such a prestigious sport as Cricket...
Of course only "Abokis" do things upside down.....little wonder the failed project is upside down
