Simply put, the average South Easterner has never really looked to government to put food on his table. The average South easterner looks to himself and it has always been like this, igbos have always been a very independent minded people. Capitalist to the core, however independent in their pursuits. It is a trait worthy of salutation and celebration really. If everyone especially our people up north would take heed, perhaps a lot of folks from this area would not be heavily dependent on government as they are now. 1 Like |

Almaigaa: I'm Igbo but not IPOB member, not all Igbos are IPOB but one thing i have observed is that when someone expose your lies, you resort to uncouth words and name calling. Having said that, Ojay Boxers is the highest boxer producing company in Nigeria and West Africa. Former Senate president Dr Saraki, Segun Awolowo (Nigerian export promoting council) Director etc all bear witness to this. Ojay is one man business located around Ngwa Rd by Mosque with approximately over 500 staff. Ojay have receive invitation from UK, Germany, Canada (this is one-man business). There is no state in Nigeria that you won't see blouse, gown, skirt, trousers, suit, shoes etc all made in Aba though those states have ppl producing in their state. Money generated in Ariara, Shopping centre, Ngwa Rd market, cemetery market etc is much more than the government of Abia declares on Monthly basis 60/70% of goods use in Akwa ibom is from Cemetery market and Ariara. Northerners would prefer Owerri and Enugu to Aba in terms of security but they won't stop coming to Aba because they know how much they made in Aba. If you are in the banking sector or you have someone in Nigeria banking sector, ask to know how much First bank and other commercial banks generates from Abia state and how much they generates from other states. South East to you is not economically viable but this few months IPOB and UGM have been feasting on South East, there has been weekly security meetings in Villa and government want it to stop at all cost while the same government have been docile on insurgency in the North East for years. 1 Like |

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has decried the low participation of the South-East in its economic intervention policies and programmes. The acting director, Corporate Communications Department of the bank, Mr Osita Nwanisobi, disclosed this yesterday during the CBN Fair in Enugu. Nwanisobi said that the CBN intervention programmes were meant to create jobs, engender financial inclusion and make the people have access to finance. Th ZOO government NEVER ceases to amaze me. Now that it sees that the break up of the ZOO is inevitable, it claims that it wants to include the EAST in its financial intervention programs and job creation. Where the f**k have you been all these many years? You closed all the SEA-PORTS, REFINERIES, and anything that would aid the EASTERNERS in their quest for financial FREEDOM and SUSTAINABILITY. Then all of a sudden, you have come to JESUS MOMENT! Take your financial intervention and job creation programs and shove them up your ASS! |

stmike85: What is the name of the funds accessed by Northerners that have been denied the South Easterners even when Godwin EMEFIELE is the governor of CBN ? The simple truth is this, South Easterners are mostly IMPORTERS and are a drain on scarce forex, no government will provide forex for you to import just about anything into the country Those getting CBN intervention funds are for those involved in the Real Economy (production and exports) and not those that import all sort of things that drain the forex of the country |

Komu1048: Billionaire like Dangote and Otedola that enjoys free waivers from state, right? We're self made. You're rich, but all your state capitals except Lagos State built by Federal Government all others are ghost cities with Mud houses from Abeokuta to Ibadan. I don't need to talk too much. El-Rufai said while as the FCT Minister that Igbos owns 63% of property in Abuja, we don't make noise. |

stmike85: They may not necessarily be more educated, but they EXPORT more than Easterners, so they are more likely to benefit from Export Expansion Grants (EEG) and other grants If you want to really know, go and check NXP Forms opened by regions and the register of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council CBN is just been very careful with the way it present the information to you people so as not to finally burst your overblown ego You are merely and mostly a tribe of import containers |

Ikinternational: Stop confusing yourself CBN don’t deal with importers ( especially those that are into non-valid items) Igbos are mostly importers of FORM M non-valid items! CBN don’t give intervention funds to importers How many Chukwudi or Ifeanyi that imports assorted non valid items can produce 5 years bankable feasibly study for these items they import ? Simply, most igbo lines of business CANNOT access CBN intervention fundings!! How are those points so hard for your brain to process meaningfully ? Fairly Intelligent people already got the points |
