It'll be great, I'll probably go around to Uncle's new house, my grand fathers house(A couple of minutes away from premier Hotel). I'll convert my money to naira and spend 95% of it on roadside meatpies |

True talk |
Re: Nigerians Abroad Must Return Home by chiegemba(f): 11:21pm On Apr 13, 2007 |
@ anabell Yeah! i do agreed to some extent, but its not that easy. I was actually chattin with someone i met through nairaland some mins ago and he was tellin me that if he had his way he would leave d country right now(as in that very min). because he doesnt c it improvin in d next couple of years! @ 9ja4eva True its not easy here and true a lot of people have been deceived because of the way abroad is being painted . sometimes it looks like we walk on the streets of gold and pick them up as well, but the truth now i think should be based on experience. know d sayin "experience is d best teacher" people comin over to experience it. Generally i pray one day a solution would be found that would make Nigeria a better country someday. |

Re: Nigerians Abroad Must Return Home by chiegemba(f): 11:57pm On Apr 13, 2007 |
@ anabell, i feel u on dat about "Nepa" heard a funny story once: my aty's friend took her kids home 4 hols not to long ago after they got home "Nepa" showed their true colors, U know how everywhere would be "pitch black" the youngest of them all started cryin that she's gone blind and couldnt see anything again, Was funny but sad though. A child who lived in a well illuminated country which isnt her home country only to get back to her home country and wants to go back! |
Re: Nigerians Abroad Must Return Home by 9ja4eva: 12:09am On Apr 14, 2007 |
NEPA will be fine by his grace. We wish for the best. |

We just have to be optimistic that Nigeria will change for the better. Lets not lose hope. Only we, Nigerians can rebuild our dear country to its former apex for our future generation. We just cant be checking out to other places for economic reasons. What eventually happens is that our future generation gets displaced from their root. Seriously, I love Nigeria. @chiegmba, it's indeed a small world that we live in. |

Re: Nigerians Abroad Must Return Home by londoner: 9:25am On Apr 16, 2007 |
Well, all these countries who are "law abiding" (but really not considering their prisons are full to bursting), have light and good roads did not get that way by accident, they all went through a time like Nigeria has, if only we do our research. If you think about it, all we are doing is enjoying someone elses effort to get the country to that stage, its really up to us to do the same for our country, or at least those at home now. I always laugh when I hear Nigerians especially at home who complain about light and water and roads, lol, its as if they think the foreign government just gives it from the goodness of their hearts , we pay for these things and they deliver them. |
