Could It Be My Account Was Used For Scam??? by lecoeur(op): 8:25pm On May 20, 2021*

So I met this guy on telegram and we got going, he introduced me to one group like that where he sells Fake logs and said I should work with him.
I do chat him up frequently and just yesterday he came requesting for my account details that he wants to bless me. I'm a student, really broke in fact I haven't eaten properly for like 2 days straight honestly (Crypto did me sh*t) so I didn't hesitate in sending my details, shortly I got credit alert of #14k.
I informed him of the alert and he told me to give him any amount I wish to give him out of the money, at this point I became confused and was like how huh

I just blocked him immediately and deleted our chat, right now I feel bad cos obviously he's a scammer and truly I pity the person that may have been scammed as I've been overthinking considering the trauma this person may be going through.
Is there anything I can do?
I haven't taken anything out of the money yet.

Op if the victim now go and get a police report, freeze your account and you are finally arrested for fraud. You will tell the police that you deleted your friend's number and chat. And he is the one who used your details in collecting fraudulent money. The kind slap when ur face go collect en. E go shock you..

You just deleted something that you would have used to save your head. Now your head is left without a hedge.

Just pray it wasn't a fraudulent money because all indication is pointing that it is. Your account was used as picker

Best bet, go to the bank, tell them to give you the details of the person that transferred the money to you. If it doesn't match with guy's, send it back to the person asap

You shouldn't have deleted the convo. Would have helped as evidence.

I advice you report to the nearest police station. Just file a report. 14k is small, and I know you are down financially, what if the owner needs it more than you and has vowed to get it back?

I'm really grateful for the various contributions and backlashes I got from this Wonderful forum concerning this post. I actually applied some of the detailed help I got from replies here and I must say they've been helpful, also I observed how very quick people were to judge calling me all sorts of names and people who taught I was actually crying for help maybe because I couldn't perform transactions from my account. Surprisingly my Mom sent me some cash the next morning and I was able to feed well at least. Illegal things don't pay you may enjoy it but you don't know the kind of pains you might be causing for someone, some guys under this post were probably in support of me using this money I presumed to be illegal and it baffled me honestly. I'm a young student, broke (I believe it won't last forever) but I pray I don't come to a situation in life where I'd deem it appropriate to be involved in anything illegal.
Please let's all be guided, despite things not been resolved yet this plight has taught me Several lessons Thanks.

Go and report to your bank. They will reverse the transaction and send the money to the account it came from.

go and report urself to Ur bank. Tell them u go alert that u are not expecting. They should remove it from Ur account.

Its just a 14k, I’m 80% sure he use ur account to pick fraudulent money, you don’t have to block such person even before you block him you should have let him send his account for the money he’s asking to get his details.

Anyway its 14k the sender will probably let it go cos it might cost him more to get it back.

Good you have a good conscience. You can ask the bank to freeze that amount and please ensure there is proper documentation.

Unblock the other user and tell him what you have done/what you want to do.
