Behind the smiles, a lot of hardwork , a lot of patience, tolerance, sacrifices, understating, forgiveness has gone and is still going on behind the scenes.
A big wedding isn't what should be celebrated, rather successful marriage that reflects positively in the lives of the children (so I do tell my unmarried friends)
