Yes.

She is prayerful, resilient, hard-working, industrious, disciplinarian, administrative, beautiful, caring, she doesn't keep malice, offend her she will respond to your offence in that measure. She is contented and appreciate the little things she has.

Though her relationship with my father is not that rosy cos every relationship has its ups and downs. She and her husband will settle there differences without inviting anybody.

Yes I will marry a woman like my mother over and over again.

Note any lady who posseses these qualities here can get the ring from me.

You wrote this:

“ why do the sons take everything they say hook line and sinker especially as regards their choices of life partners”

So I’m asking you, who should they listen to? Is it you or the person they’ve known their whole lives?

How many perfect people do you have in your life right now that do not have any flaws that you take advice from?

Ok, at least you added the "hook line and sinker" part. And that means they take everything she says whether it is biased or unbiased without their own choices into consideration.

Parents should advice and not impose. That is my point.

The thing about humans is they don’t take their own advice but good at criticism. Let’s see you do the same when your kids are of age.

If I see any woman that resembles my mother small,i will run....

I love her but she is too religious, controlling, hard to please, fond of emotional blackmail, hard to live with, doesn't know how to talk without insults, she even sees telling her about her mistakes as disrespect and fond of misdirecting anger when things do not go her way,her anger issues worse pass anything for this life
Even my papa japa!
Anyways, she is my mother so it is what it is
Funny enough, these are all traits of many Nigerian women

So you don't blame your dad for the japa? This is strange!

Yeah bro.......thanks
I still don't joke with her no matter what......

Jux that the bad effect was on us..........

Each ungrateful hearts got to her and she suffered for it.

You just let her know you are proud of her and say it to her after each phone call and watch the change over the years.

This life is not balanced for good hearts

I wonder what your family members will think when they realize that you jump into conversations that you are not invited into and comment without thinking it through properly.
I didn't jump into anything. Just admit you were childish to lot of you "women"
Re: Let's Be Sincere. "Can You Marry A Woman Like Your Mother?" by labisibrass(m): 10:28am On Jun 08
For just a reason, I'd say NO!
She's too soft. My father uses that soft part against her. Wished she married someone who'd compliment that part of her and explore it to good use but no, she married a devil in Human form. Till I was 20,i used to cry secretly because of her, the maltreatment was and is Just too much. Anytime I try to advise her to jakpa, her words would be 'i grew up in a polygamous home as my mum died when I I was a teenager, I don't want you to smell what I experienced in life. I'm damn scared of marriage!
Mum please don't die now,i owe you so much in life.

I don't think you know what childish is. Your comment showed that you just wanted to comment without facts. Read my responses to her clearly and without the prejudice you are carrying. But if you still don't get it after reading it, please move on. Thanks

I think one thing about humans is that they think "one shoe fits all", "your mum is just like mine".

I am following my own mum's footsteps. She brought us up well enough for us to be able to make our decisions ourselves. She would only chip in advice. And all of us married our choices; Yoruba, hausa.

My issue is with parents trying to dictate their children's lives and the children allowing it.

He still performs his duty as a father to the fullest but he doesn't stay with us

I don't blame him at all, even me that is just her son,if I had money since I was 10years old,I would have pack my load since...there is a reason many Nigerian men die long before their wives

I will always treat my mother right but the truth is I would rather support Buhari for 3rd term than marry a woman like my mother

I meant that she is so good, a kind and caring woman that it would pose difficulty getting her kind of person in our young ladies

I can't Ooo!!!
Marry fire kwa??

She get easily provoked and so hot tempered.......

She's very stubborn and hardly listen to OR follow our opinions

Just too religious.........infact she fought everyone close-by/neighbour/family/friends/youths/strangers who wouldnt readily absorb her preaching(BIGGEST TURN OFF).......

She's hyperactive too........hardly sit her ass down on a spot to rest.......if she's isn't doing this then definitely she's up doing that...... even the unnecessary things and wud lament if u failed to join her........

Mind:Those r her weakness anyways

GOOD SIDE:

SHE SINGLE HANDEDLY SPONSORED OUR EDUCATION FROM PRE NURSERY TO BEEN A GRADUATE........

SUCH A YOUNG PRETTY HER GOT HERSELF MARRIED TO ONE IDIOT DURING HER PRIME...........INFACT SHE STRUGGLED SPONSORING HIS EDUCATION TO UNIVERSITY LEVEL EVEN WHEN HER FAMILY WERE VEHEMENTLY AGAINST..........

.........BUT THE IDIOT BECAME DOCTOR AND NEVER CAME BACK TO HER/US........JUX THE ONLY PERSON I WILL NEVER FORGIVE EVN ON MY DYING BED.........

SHE SPONSORED HER HALF BROTHERS AND SISTERS TOO.......SOME GRATEFUL WHILE SOME R INGRATES.......

Your mum is an Amazon woman. And those negative traits you pointed are what makes her the great woman she is. The negative is what gave birth to the positive.
