Alcohol is prohibited because of religious reasons...The South has decided to prohibit open grazing too for security reasons... tit for tat.
thebosstrevor1:

So alcohol is your point of argument. Some part of the north practice sharia and selling and buying alcohol is prohibited because of religious reasons, i am sure many southerners are doing other legitimate businesses freely, they are enjoying their rights of being Nigerians.

How come the fulanis can not enjoy their own right of being Nigerians.

Mention them

Eleven years after the unofficial relocation of the Cattle market to another community, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has commissioned the re-constructed market at Umuka, Okigwe Local Council of the state.

The Umuchieze Cattle Market, near Lokpanta in Umenneochi Local Government Area of Abia state, has not only become one of the largest cattle markets East of the Niger, but has also promoted trade between the Northern states and the South East.

If southerners can trade in the north without harrassment, the north man can also trade in the south.

It is constitutional, the law protect that individual.

You want to trade in the north but you dont want fulanis to trade in the south.

No be only you dey live for Nigeria

Those herdsmen are not trading they are just roaming around with cows.

Whenever people want to buy cows they go to market.

With all the land in the north, can 1 or 2 individual create a ranch that will serve all the purposes that roaming around with cows and creating nuisance.

With the way u ppl are taking this nigeria will split up- easily

because u cannot be giving ppl headache because of cows.

If freedom of movement is only guarantee to only humanbeings, so how come when you move from one place to another, you carry your properties along

Did you not see where the person you quoted said mode? And that the cattle should be transported via trucks or any preferred vehicle but not by walking and constituting nuisance?
I am sure sensible people pack and move their property with decent, safe transportation and not litter it everywhere, causing losses and damage without conscience!

Where is the billions of dollars sent to the north.

In terms of government allocations, northern states receive the lowest allocations.

Ranching is expensive, if ranching is practised, i promise you, you wont be able to buy cow meat.

Is beef the only meat? Besides, how cheap is it now sef? If you ranch and cannot make it affordable, you fold and fall out of business, simple! Chickens, turkeys, goats, fish, snails and other alternatives abound! So because you feel it's expensive you'd rather snatch up other people's lands and destroy their crops?

Madness is real in your case...

The government of Nigeria brought a good idea of creating a cow route for herders, you people are busy crying foul.

The constitution of Nigeria, guarantee freedom of movement and trade, anyone can travel anywhere to live and trade.

If a igbo, yoruba businessman can go to the north to carry out his business, nothing stops a fulani man from carrying out his business in the south.

Stopping fulani people from moving and trading their cows from one part of Nigeria to another is an attack on their fundamental human right, if you can travel and do business anywhere in Nigeria, the fulani man should be also be able to do business anywhere.

You are all shouting fundamental human right when the government banned Twitter but you go about banning others from their own fundamental human right, that is hypocrisy.

Note: Fulani pay tax and rent, every cows transported to the south pay tax, from local governments tax to land rent and also tax per each cows.

This guy is just senseless. Do we Southerners say they shouldn't do their business down south. We the Southerners are we doing our business in the forest/bushes in the north? Do we take it as a right that if our biz is affected by govt policies, we kill maim and destroy people's properties.

That's what the Igbo have been shouting all this while and i thank God that the scales have start to fall off the eyes of Yoruba. Maybe by next three years everything will be settled and everyone will be answering his father's name, i also hope you join the clamour to divide this country.
