God bless Nigerian farmers for it's not easy, if agriculture doesn't kill you it can only make you stronger... May , April the rains was erratic.. June the raining season was finally here came down in floods.. July came and the rains disappeared.. Climate change truly is here and it's here to stay, growing up with rain fed irrigation farmers cultivated thrice yearly, then it became twice now we can barely cultivate once |

Hello house, please your opinions are needed @Farmtech @Ideepaul @farmerakinyole6 @Oluchidelly What would you advice, if rains start should the maize be allowed to rest from the stress and probably takeup the npk left or should urea be applied immediately to help it overcome drought stress |

willybaby: Wow this is so shocking! I was actually hoping to read about how good your farm is doing. I know how it feels when it fails to rain. Over 2 hectares out of my beans farm couldn't yield anything last year due to lack of rain. It wasn't a nice experience I must confess. May God release His shower of blessing upon that farm for yours. I remember you mentioned that there's a dam close your farm, why not pump water into the farm? At 2 months, those corn should be at least 3 feets tall by now. If you can remember, I complained about Lagon herbicide not working well on my farm, I had to spend almost 200k to weed the whole farm 3/4 weeks ago. Just this morning that I went for inspection, I was surprised to see the grass fully grown meaning more expenses for me What am I trying say? The fact that you've already invested means you have to continue spending so you dont lose everything as long as you don't spend more than your total investment after harvest.

LegitPlug:first pic looks like leaf burns, did you spray recently and if yes what was it |
Re: Winfarms 2021 Wet Season Farming Our Dairy.. by LegitPlug: 3:37pm On Aug 07, 2021 |
willybaby: I did some grass close to my yam but the distance between where I sprayed and where I noticed the burns are about 1 hectares apart. I askes some locals and they called it wuta wuta which can be translated as fire fire. None of them have any idea what causes it or the cure/solution to it. |
