FFK is not bright and he must talk even if it’s nonsense. Wasn’t Obasanjo in prison when all that happened? Abacha imprisoned both Shehu Yaradua and Obasanjo, unfortunately Yaradua died due to negligence/health complications and Obasanjo was only set free when Abdusalami came into power

Hmmm, not to be sentimental or anything.

I think I'd preferred an Abacha democratic government, if those were the two options available. Why?

1. Abacha ensured that we remained a sovereign entity and never to be messed around with. Internationally we promoted peace in Africa; having one of the best foot soldiers and we had peak performances in sports as well.

2. I looked at Abachas economic outlook and plan for the country then, it was very good, he increased our reserve by billions and reduce Babangida's debts by billions as well. Even with the sanctions imposed on us then, there's this popular misconception of Abacha's loot which is not true, the then government had to stash up cash to procure vital items the country needs through back doors.

Abacha was from a wealthy home, so the need to steal public funds wasn't a core part of him I should suppose, unlike previous heads of states.

For me, the economic and security viability of a country should be the main focus of any government, once these are handled, other things would fall in place, if the government knows what they are doing.

A reinstall government of Abiola might have thrived, due to the business and academic prowess of Abiola and maybe the Nation would have done better, but from my personal investigation, Abiola was working for the USA via CIA. So he would have been serving western interest and not National interest. This has bane of many African countries, where their people are second to first class interest. We must stop this in Africa and put our people first.
