What i experienced was different with each of my pregnancy, but the common experiences were Fatigue. I became too emotional - shed tears unnecessarily. Increased appetite. Frequent urination. 13 Likes |

Rekhi: This could be me minus the shedding of tears. I have never been so tired in my life before. I could eat for 10. Frequent urination right from the second half of the first trimester. Luckily I have not had any problems falling asleep afterwards. What did you (and the other ladies) enjoy during pregnancy? Me: getting away with extra naps (even up to two each day I am not at work) everyone constantly asking after my well-being hubby not allowing me do too much around the house hubby giving me massages several times a week because of the lower back pain 7 Likes |

Different experiences for each individual. My last one, I was very strong in and out but bedridden for a month thereabout after delivery. Lost control of poo signal, couldn't eat a thing. Was always on tea and malt. Mehnnn! It wasn't easy. Thought I would die sef. God kept me 20 Likes |

I hardly noticed... until like 7th month.I was always having this appetite of eating hot, peppered food,Abacha, boiled oily cocoyam, agbalumo, walnuts and draw soup were my favorites(I hated too sugary things with passion then).I had this passion of bathing regularly... like 5times before daybreak, I drank water a lot and I cry unnecessarily...if I see someone crying,I may not even no the reason for the cry... gbam...I will start crying. I never spit around nor fall sick,in fact I was always very strong through out my four pregnancies,I actually go to work in morning, come back in the evening and deliver at night.Except my second child who I had in the morning. My first delivery was a bit tough though, there was much delay at the hospital but rest.... nothing much. I loved the special attention my husband was giving me those days. What I despised those days was that my fine gowns no longer fits me because of protruded tummy. 17 Likes |

Change of environment & stress did a number on me, having to wait for lady red seemed pretty normal cos my cycle is like that sometimes.. Even the spike in my blood pressure wasn't worrisome to me cos I knew I was hypertensive a long time but I'd never wanted anything to do with those routine drugs so I stayed living in denial lol.. First & Second semester • Loss of appetite • Fatigue • Increased sense of smell, even inhalation of air was a problem, my Rob/Vaseline was always with me everywhere I went. • Frequent urination • I thought the skin irritations & discoloration came with the stress, gosh so much stress at work & the environment wasn't even friendly.. Ahh my nose was big eh, my whole face sef. • Constipation • Hair loss Quarter to delivery • Olympics was going on inside awa belle • Voracious appetite • Insomnia • Heartburn • Throbbing headaches • Dah kain heat wey na to dey lie down for ground sure pass; AC/fan be like wen pesin carry hand fan dey blow me breeze kaiii. What I enjoyed • The attention, love & care • The backrubs • When I woke up to new wears & accessories • Going through baby list and ticking the boxes • Laying in bed, tossing around lol yh 11 Likes |

Hathor5: Lol. Was surprised too because I ate much and unhealthy too. Foods I didn't even like initially and still don't like became my favorites...bread,fried plantains, potatoes, frozen suya and Ijebu Garri ,Ice cubes ,moimoi,Okoro soup with only fresh fish and Ugba(Mbaise delicacy),Ogbono soup with Agidi , Steaming hot white rice with just fried Palm oil ,locust beans and sliced fresh pepper . Downsides : Anxiety : Couldn't wait for kiddo to come out . always going to the calendar to check EDD and how much time I had. Any misunderstanding then between Oga and I , I'll run to the room where we kept babies things and cry ehhhhn. Oga can't sleep when I've not slept oh . I know I'm bit extra but it was fun tbh . Kiddo is Over Four years and I'm Ttc . Please put me in your prayers. 15 Likes |

Hathor5: The first pregnancy was smooth, little nausea with large appetite later on ,no cold water and beverage all through .i constantly kept a good hygiene and slayed well till I delivered. Took pregncare all through. I eventually had CS because I wasn't dilating after 7cm and baby was in distress. I healed very fast and baby was calm all through. The second pregnancy started with serious itching and smelly vagina discharge which lasted till I delivered, I couldn't wear panties most time because of the hot, red and itching feeling. Despite the constant hygiene , antibiotics and all the infection didn't stop. I had lots of cramps and kicks, I felt tired most times but had a good appetite and ate healthy. I couldn't slay much, i used Obron 6 for a while and stopped at 8 months. I eventually had CS because I was in very active labour but wasn't dilating. It took me two months for my stitches to close up. I only added 10kg for both pregnancy ,no swollen feet For both pregnancies I enjoyed special attention from people, public places and given considerations. Since I was still schooling part time when I had my first baby ,I had my class colleagues helping me out with my child. It was fun. Challenges for the first pregnancy was funds because I didn't plan for CS and it was a private standard hospital which was an emergency later on and my delivery bill sky rocketed beyond plan. I was delayed for a week till I was able to clear my bills. For my second I opted for general hospital which was okay in terms of fees but had lots of stress with moving around, appointments, blood donation and crowded unhealthy ward I was kept in with noisy nurses. 6 Likes 1 Share |

poshestmina: I think our bodies tell us exactly what they need during pregnancy. Before pregnancy I thought women had some crazy craving for one particular thing but during pregnancy I discovered that it is a new craving every week. My gynecologist told me to eat healthy (vegetable and fruit) which I normally do but at some point I decided to eat whatever I was craving. I think my body knows best what it needs. Your husband cares a lot and shows it. This is a predisposition to a happy marriage. You are in my prayers. May God bless you abundantly. Amen. 11 Likes |

Hathor5: 3 kids Baby 1 Smooth pregnancy, people didn't réalise I was pregnant till a month to delivery sef . They just felt I was getting fatter. Even in NYSC camp, no one knew I was pregnant. No serious symptoms. Just this terrible backache and recurrent vaginal infection. No weird cravings too but I must have drank a gazillion litres of Nutri C. I was active all through and I partied like mad Baby 2 People knew I was pregnant from a month! Terrible morning, afternoon and evening sickness! I would be driving and have to park just to vomit. Choi! I had to start walking about with my perfumed handkerchief or puffpuff to stuff my nose in when nausea rises. No serious craving, just noodles morning, afternoon and night No back pain. Baby 3 No one knew I was pregnant till my 3rd trimester. Lol. RoundbodyGeng Active from day 1 No back pain but my ulcer was aggravated and I got a major hiatal hernia. Cravings oooooo, I craved any food I saw on the internet. I craved for Igbo and Delta soups. I entered Calabar kitchen. I ate Itsekiri food. A Rivers woman made special peppersoup for me. All Southern soups, I had them and stored them Had baby and all cravings vamoosed! But a common occurrence in all my pregnancies is me falling seriously sick in my 3rd trimester. I no dey miss am. I must be admitted for dayyysss where Drs will contemplate bringing baby out. But I'd always get better and push to term 21 Likes 3 Shares |

Baby 1 Smooth all through Mettalic taste and cramps was the first sign of pregnancy even before missed period. Had a small tommy, gave birth and people were asking if I was already due. Went from about 55-60kg to 68-70kg. Was not sick, just swollen feet and a bp around 148 in 3rd trimester and was controlled. Baby 2 Mettalic taste was also first sign My tommy was really long I had cravings in this one, Conc ijebu garri was a major one, the Garri water had this effect I can't describe. Retained some of the weight I gained after the first baby, so I went to around 75kg for this pregnancy. Had swollen feet in 3rd trimester too but always resolved with raising my legs up. Similarities No major health incident during both. Differences 2nd pregnancy was way bigger than first, 2nd baby was also slightly larger. Had cravings in 2nd Having children has helped me gain some weight, was a confirmed extra lepa. Was underweight at some point in Uni . 12 Likes |

Hathor5:Yeah,this one too...I'm the type that doesn't show much when pregnant, but my breast can be huge and overly sensitive, ehn! It was even worse with my 3rd pregnancy(twins). And i was breastfeeding when i got pregnant with twins, had to wean bobo sharp sharp...Sore and fuller breasts is one of my early pregnancy symptoms. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Rekhi: Twins? This one is on a different level. Even more miraculous than a 'normal' pregnancy. I have nothing against full breasts but the sensitivity can be quite unpleasant. 2 Likes 1 Share |
