You are not smart, why you should tax the hell of them?, you've forgotten Ghana is part of ECOWAS meaning free movement of goods and services within the region.
Toyota will assemble there and bring their goods into Nigeria under treaty of ECOWAS and no Tarriff will be applied to it. No thanks to that idiot in Asorock with his bad policies

"The idiot in Aso Rock" have nothing to do with this because Toyota should have had it's assembly plant years before "the idiot in Aso Rock" came into power.

If it was possible for Nigerians to boycott Toyota products, you will see how they would have crawled back.

Anyway, na that lifeless terrorist living inside the Rock caused this insult from Toyota and Ghana.

It is not about money, my brother. Calm down. Nigeria is not working and people need put their money where they know that in years to come, there is stability. Not a place like Nigeria with so much instabilities

Dey yarn dust. How does Victoria Island having more money than the whole of Ghana translate into the diverse benefits that Ghanaians will benefit from this move.

All the arguments here are absolutely not necessary as the OP did not take his time to research before jumping into the story of Toyota opening an SKD plant in Tema area of Ghana (mainly for production of Hilux vehicles)....this is happening a full 5 years after making the first production in Nigeria (Hiace buses).......meanwhile, the 3 million USD SKD investment in Ghana is nowhere close to Innosson's CDK plant in Nigeria.....I am aware that Nissan, JAC, Sinotruk, VW, Peugeot and Honda have SDK assembly plants in Nigeria while the Ghana through Toyota's 5% investment in Suzuki Ghana has a Suzuki SDK plant too.

We need to do more searches and informed opinions rather than constant online competitions about Nigeria and some other countries.....every African country have their own issues....but i can categorically say that most do not get close to Nigeria till date

What do you expect when there's no;

a) Stable power supply

b) No good roads

c) Lack of security

d) People like Chidinma are roaming the streets of Nigeria, so investors might be in trouble.

I know Liar Mohammed will have 1or 2 to say.

What you think is a secret is actual a reality, buhari policies & cost of doing business in nigeria today is so unviable.
Instead of creating an enabling environment, our govt is so obsessed with control and full of selfish interest.

why would nnpc want a stake in dangote refinery if not to throttle efficiency and enforce corruption all for there selfish gain.
why did shoprite sell out, any investor willing to invest in nigeria must be ready feed the govt selfish interest be it @ the deteriment of the people.
