U guys will ruin this country with ur stupid mentality.
You have no idea of how big Nigerian market is.

Reason they choose Ghana is simply for ONE reason and that is due to NEARNESS to Nigeria. They could have gone to EGYPT, SOUTH AFRICA OR KENYA....but they have the biggest business leads and opportunity in Nigeria.

I am not here to argue with your foolishness. Go do your reasearch and find out the price of both. Look for the price of a brand new Toyota car, same year and similar product with that of brand new innoson car and then compare. Take away import taxes and shipping fee. Ghana now, will not need to pay all that fee. My last reply tho, keep wallowing in ignorance. Ode!

Which mentally sound mind will try to juxtapose the price of a brand new car with a fairly used car?

How old are you if I may ask?

ShopRite is alive and kicking. Did ShopRite in your village close down?

Which big manufacturer left? Only a stupid manufacturer will leave big market for smaller market because of insecurity.
Shey Ghana cannot have it's own insecurity tomorrow?

If you run a big factory, you will leave Nigeria for Ghana Abi?

On the scale of 1-10, just how stupid are you?

While I will admit insecurity is a big problem and bad economy and the current useless government isn't doing anything to to stop it. But then, all countries have their problems, Nigeria has its own problem, but that's not enough reason to amplify your own stupidity for the world to laugh your mental retardation.

The biggest news in Ghana today is that Toyota has opened a plant there to build cars and sell in Nigeria.

Ghana is arresting poverty, while Nigeria is arresting people! Why wont Ghana progress?
Nigeria banned Twitter, and Ghana welcomed Twitter. Nigeria banned Cryptocurrencies, while Ghana is banking on its own cryptocurrency.
You can now see that it is not size that makes a country the Giant of Africa. The elephant is the giant of the jungle, but it is the lion that is the king of the jungle. Never be intimidated by a person’s size. If giant size is not accompanied by giant intellect, it will end up as a giant liability!

the lion does not even live in the jungle not to talk of being king there. and not all companies must be domiciled here

Even Nigerian companies are snubbing Nigeria, moving their factories to Ghana and sending their goods back to be sold in Nigeria. The reasons are simple; infrastructure, power and security. Ghana trumps Nigeria in all 3 aspects. Any sensible business would make the same decision.

Toyota, a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer, has snubbed Nigeria, as it opened an assembly plant in Ghana.

The plant, which was established to assembly Toyota Hilux pick-up and other sedans by the Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Company Limited, is located in the Freezones Enclave in Tema.

Another job opportunity lost. Say baba

President Akufo-Addo of Ghana commissioned the plant yesterday (Tuesday, June 29, 2021), saying the development will help make the acquisition of new vehicles by Ghanaians more affordable as well as enable public sector workers to be able to afford and purchase locally assembled vehicles.

While targeting Nigerian market. Well with time, a policy will be made to address the trend sooner or later.

For every pickup truck Innoson sells in Nigeria the federal, state and local government buy ten Hilux pick ups.I'm not even adding up those purchased by the private sector and individuals.
What Nigeria's teeming young population needs is MORE factories and assembly plants.
Get your sense head out of your ass.

Nigeria govt should tax shege comot for their body, since Naija isn't good for their plant, then Naija market to shouldn't be available
If u were a multinational, if them tell u to choose Nigeria and Ghana will u choose Nigeria?

A place without ordinary electricity, that you have to provide electricity by yourself thereby increasing your cost of production.

Your foreign staffs you have to spend more on security for them to avoid them getting kidnapped for Ransome.

All your truck drivers you have to always give them miscellaneous money they will use to be bribing police, army etc. Adding to more cost.

Then your taxes are unpredictable, you will pay tax to everyone, you will pay tax to community, pay tax contribution to king burial or bday, pay tax to LG chairman, pay tax to different state commission, from environment sanitation tax to normal state tax etc, then you still have to pay FG tax.

If na u, u go gree go Nigeria?
