Abeg, let them go and allow us sell our Innoson.
What is all the foreign brand that we always like.
Must we always use imported goods? Foreign people nko? Which goods do they use?
They use their own local goods.
Eh, Let us use our own local goods/products as well.

and so? Even with new Toyota car you cant compare the price with exorbitant innoson even tho is Nigeria made. Stop thinking backward and typing trash calling for a ban, rather than saying the government should put more effort to attract investors. To me, it’s a low grade mentality. Ghana is wining. Stop behaving like your mumu master Buhari, the forum need to get ride of foolish people like me because you can’t take a constructive criticism just like your father, reason why he banned twitter

So the Uber drivers you see around use brand new Toyota cars?

Toyota, a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer, has snubbed Nigeria, as it opened an assembly plant in Ghana.

The plant, which was established to assembly Toyota Hilux pick-up and other sedans by the Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Company Limited, is located in the Freezones Enclave in Tema.

President Akufo-Addo of Ghana commissioned the plant yesterday (Tuesday, June 29, 2021), saying the development will help make the acquisition of new vehicles by Ghanaians more affordable as well as enable public sector workers to be able to afford and purchase locally assembled vehicles.

[/s]use your head and read for 1 minute.
The post you quoted was clear enough but you read and still didn't understand a thing.

Any big factory running on government given power will be running at a loss. Because it's not cost effective.

That's why no big factory in the world will operate on national grid.

Most factories in America and China or anywhere in the world generate their electricity and sell the excess to the government. Not the other way around.

CONGRATS TOYOTA FOR MAKING A GOOD AND INFORMED BUSINESS DECISION NIGERIA NA CRUISE AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY
Re: Toyota Opens Assembly Plant In Ghana by Niorte: 3:22pm On Jun 30, 2021
Let our government hunt them.

For all I care, four out of every 6 vehicles on Lagos road is TOYOTA.

Every TOYOTA product coming from any African countries should pay double for import duties

That way government can still make money without them having office hear.

To the youths saying it is good for Toyota to open plant in Ghana and not Nigeria, I understand your position based on the security of the nation but on the other hand, how will our youths get job when what should be a source of income to us is taking out.

Let us give TOYOTA the twitter-treatment, it will significantly hit them hard.

We don't want a fairweather company

They cannot eat their cake and have it.

If they snubbed the biggest market, they should not be allowed to operate in that market.

Simple as abc.

Let Ghanaians buy all their cars.
U think the world revolves around Nigeria, big market my foot, how many Nigerians can buy new car, big market with no purchasing power.

The biggest news in Nigeria today is that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested.

The biggest news in Ghana today is that Toyota has opened a plant there to build cars and sell in Nigeria.

Ghana is arresting poverty, while Nigeria is arresting people! Why wont Ghana progress?
Nigeria banned Twitter, and Ghana welcomed Twitter. Nigeria banned Cryptocurrencies, while Ghana is banking on its own cryptocurrency.
You can now see that it is not size that makes a country the Giant of Africa. The elephant is the giant of the jungle, but it is the lion that is the king of the jungle. Never be intimidated by a person’s size. If giant size is not accompanied by giant intellect, it will end up as a giant liability!

I am not in support of Twitter-ban, however, I think a move by Toyota deserves a strict taxable policy from our government.

They have the right to locate their business anyway, we also have the right to determine what enters our country. If we fail in security as a Nation, we should not fail in economics as well.

However, I pray the government will wake up to its responsibility of protection of lives and property and creation of an enabling environment.
