no sane factory will rely on national grid for electricity.. no where. Not even the western countries.

Factories generate their own electricity.
It will be insane and not cost effective for big factories to rely on government for power.

Factories do not generate their electricity in the developed nations. They have backup generators for emergency that rarely happens.

This is we Nigerians are weak minded, if we boycott Toyota products and Ghana location doesn't favour them, they'll have to open a plant in Nigeria. Don't tell me Nigeria isn't safe...
Innosen has not closed down yet inspite of the unknown gun men killings in the East.

But you’re thinking like the lifeless terrorist, for you to want to ban Toyota just because the snub your backwards and terrorist country to invest in a more progressive country is terrorist thinking.
Imagine the amount Toyota will be spending on diesel monthly if there were in Nigeria, that alone could run the plant down. After spending such amount phcn will still give you bill for darkness, after that you’ll still pay outrageous taxes both to local, state and federal. Then Buhari will mandate them to build the plant in the north and employ 70% northerners.
Bros all this don run the business down already.

So you never know that factories come in different sizes. They opened Assembly plant in Ghana.

You made a blanket false statement about factories and power generation in western nations. You can twist it to gigafactory or megafactory as you like.

You said, "Factories generate their electricity"

Toyota, a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer, has snubbed Nigeria, as it opened an assembly plant in Ghana.

The plant, which was established to assembly Toyota Hilux pick-up and other sedans by the Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Company Limited, is located in the Freezones Enclave in Tema.

Good things dey run for APC and buhari government

President Akufo-Addo of Ghana commissioned the plant yesterday (Tuesday, June 29, 2021), saying the development will help make the acquisition of new vehicles by Ghanaians more affordable as well as enable public sector workers to be able to afford and purchase locally assembled vehicles.

No stable electricity
Unattractive government policies
Unstable and unpredictable economy
Constant civil unrest
Kidnapping and banditry
And the mother of all, the deadly tentacle of corruption.

If na you, you go open business for place wey get all these issues?

Lets tell ourselves the truth. Nigeria is not a palatable place to invest right now and we have to come together to change that narrative.

That’s your answer to everything now? Instead of working on the reasons why companies are not willing to invest we would rather spend the time and effort wasting time.

You can tax through VAT on the cars sold in Nigeria and that is passed to you the consumer, and you can tax the car dealers importing the cars into Nigeria but you cannot tax Toyota as an entity either in Japan or Ghana as they are not within Nigeria’s tax jurisdiction.

tamdun:
Nigeria govt should tax shege comot for their body, since Naija isn't good for their plant, then Naija market to shouldn't be available

If your idea of a generator is limited to the level of Mikano, Generac, Perkins, etc. that you see in Nigeria.
