The air was heavy around the three girls as they played their card game. The three of them have been best of friends since God knows when.

They would come together and play cards, gist and talk generally about all there is to talk about. Their other friends tag it “Gossip” but who cares!

Today had started somewhat cheerful and as of now it is soar. It was a bright Saturday and everything should have been fun and good.

‘Pick two, pick another two, another two now hold on, continue.’ Dami played with visible aggression.

Gbemi who was next to her seemed baffled and said while picking her cards from the market “E be like say you don dey find me since abi?

Cus why you go carry market like this give me?’’ Doyin who had been looking at the two quietly played her card. She didn’t know where this was going and would not want to be in anybody’s bad side.

Dami played again , ‘’general market’’ she called out, not mind what Gbemi just said.

On a normal day, Dami would have made a joke about how she is a soar loser but today she seemed all straight and somewhat angry.

The other two players picked and the game continued. The air was getting thicker and the game was fast turning into a fight between Dami and Gbemi with Gbemi at the receiving end.

Suddenly Doyin dropped her cards and asked ‘’what is wrong with you Dami?

Is there something you want to say?’’ Everything stopped. Slowly, Dami dropped her card and looked to Gbemi;
“Did you sleep with Charles?’’ Dami asked.

‘’What?!’’ Both Doyin and Gbemi screamed then everything became silent.

It would have been dismissible but for the cold murderous stare Dami was giving Gbemi, then Doyin turned to Gbemi saying; “Daun!(answer!)’’ Doyin quavered while asking.
