I was wowed and jaw dropped to see the number of recruits Nigerian Army did this year, not less than 900 men and ladies per state, some states in the SW and in the North up to about 1500 men and women as to 100 - 200men each states in previous years. DSSC and SSC intake this year is 40/states as to bout 3 - 10/ states in previous years. If we sum these numbers up that's reaching 36,000 recruit intake this year if not more. X36 states

Now my confusion is
1. How do they intend to go bout training them in their large numbers??

2. Lai said Nigeria is broke hence the need and justification for more borrowing. how do they intend to pay these guys

3. An extra 36k Ak-47 rifles needed where would they get such number from?

4. where do they intend to house them all??

5. With the rising insecurity plaguing this country and the reluctancy of Nigeria's leaders to end it, how are we sure these folks are not up for sacrifice??

No bro that's wrong, you don't just train young inexperienced soldiers and deploy them immediately to the theatre of insurgency war, you groom them up and this should take not less than 2-3 years but with the recruit pattern this year, it's clear this young Gees are up for sacrifices it's just as tho every one who applied were picked without proper screening. I saw the recently graduated regulars and I was wondering are these 16year old kids or 17, it's clear the screening was done abruptly. Besides, check any military cantonment in Nigeria ion think facilities have been created to house these guys or other proper preparations done to cater for their welfare

You made some good points over here but come to think of it they keep saying more men are needed to fight bandits and insurgency but the available ones, have positive energy been put to end the war? of course No. when I believed all these war is just mere politics to get more funds and loot Was The report where they said Iswap terrorist storm Boko Haram location with just bout 30gun truck and the proceed Was the death of Shekau and in my state alone if Army want to come and flex power on civilians they come with bout 5 Hilux vans how much more in volatile states like Maiduguri. a part of me still feel the process is a good initiative taken the wrong direction cuz the explosion of recruitment was just so sudden. don't be surprised if Army folks in few months time take to protesting owed salary or allowances

Nice point, but one thing you should know is that the list for 81RRI that was resently released is for the first phase of screening, for credentials, age etc. After the first phase of screening that 1500 per state will deip to like 500.

These successful 500 or thereabout will now proceed immediately to Falgore forest in Kano for the second and final phase of screening via Army vehicles. Here they will be physical, medical, other tests. To ascertain their fitness.
After wish the final list of like 200 to 300 per state will be released for training at Nigerian Depot. In the end the total recruit may be between 5000 to 6k
