I've noticed your comments on this section of the forum, and how you try to twist scriptures to your own satisfaction

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit
If Christ came ONLY for the lost sheep of Israel, why did he command his disciples to spread the gospel to the far ends of the Earth??

Believe whatever you want ,the scriptures speaks for itself
.
That guy? I noticed the same thing about him. He can only deceive those who don't know the bible. From my past argument with him, I find out that he sees nothing wrong with dirty jokes, dirty songs and immodest dresses.

Nooo... You must also acknowledge that Jesus is not God..... God is one and no one born him nor given birth to anyone.... FYI, I am not Muslim nor christian or herbalist.

Never!

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

do you have any scrcripture in support of this?
any scripture?
do we combine both Faith and the law or we separate the two?
Because, it seems the fellow i corrected is trying to combine the two
let's say the truth!
Paul cannot say one thing in Romans 3:28 only to come back and say a contradictive view of that same thing in James 2: 14

That's why I ask do we separate the two?
Because any attempt to combine the two tantamount to contradiction
For clarity here, we have to separate Faith from Works because I agree with you that combining both might seems like contradiction.
Scripture on the meaning of Salvation?
My dictionary tells me that the word Salvation means being SAVED from the power or effect of sin. This is different from entering the kingdom of God (Heaven). Someone can be saved through faith and yet still miss heaven if he doesn't have good works to back his faith. For example, the early church the Apostles started in Act 2 was made up of people that were already SAVED through their FAITH (Acts 2: 47).
Ananias and Sapphira were members of the church, meaning they were already saved as believers. But when they fail to do the good works they were supposed to do and lied about it in church, what happened? THEY DIED. But do you think they made it to heaven? Obviously not.
The scripture gave us Faith as the condition for Salvation, and good works as the condition for making Heaven; Therefore it is easy to see that Salvation is different from entering the kingdom of God.
I will be back with a few scriptures that will help your understanding.
STAY BLESSED!

John 3:16-18 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that BELIEVETH on him is not condemned: but he that BELIEVETH NOT is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
This is it, not good works

I wish you could clear that ambiguity by giving example of what you mean by the power or effect of sin.
Are effect of sin in your statement include malaria, poverty etc?

See what God said through Prophet Isaiah with regards that there is no favouritism but by our deeds.

saiah 56
1
This is what the LORD says: "Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.
2
Blessed is the man who does this, the man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil."

3
Let no foreigner who has bound himself to the LORD say, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people." And let not any eunuch complain, "I am only a dry tree."
4
For this is what the LORD says: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant--
5
to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.
6
And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant--
7
these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.

Thus it is by our our deeds by way of our obedience to HIS will, commandments, laws etc

According to Jesus Christ, your works is what will decide whether you will enter into Heaven or not.- Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46 - that is what will be judged on that "last day". undecided
please don't limit the works on charitable deeds alone, it also include character, attitude, spiritual e.t.c you can do charity but still commit fornication, commit adultery, slander, backbiting, homo sexual, lesbianism, worship idols, pornography addiction, some will loot or cheat and come do charity thinking they can bribe God no way, using the name of God in vain like gaddamit or Jesus fuvking Christ, alot but to mention few, you will not make heaven. These are the works of the devil and this purpose he came to destroy it.

Good Works .I.e. Works of righteousness in Jesus Christ comes from what you do in continuous submission and obedience to the commandments and teachings of Jesus Christ. And it is those with the Jesus Christ kind of work that will enter into His Heaven at the end of the day. This is not to be confused with works of charity or love of one's neither or humanity, and other similar ideas that are born of the standard of God, rather than of God. undecided

Yes, you are absolutely right that all the charitable works on earth, will never open even the kingdom of God to anyone who does not first believe and obey Jesus Christ. And yes, there are goats in the Kingdom of God who use the name of God to sell all the lies and deceit they are filled with. As Jesus Christ made clear, they will not enter His Heaven. undecided

You don't really understand Christianity: good works alone can NEVER qualify one for Heaven. The asker wants to know if those who don't believe in the Resurrection of Jesus can enter Heaven. The answer is a short "NO!" After the Rapture had take place, those who died before Jesus Christ will be resurrected and the great Tribulations will start. After that, JUDGMENT DAY
Jesus said people would be judged according to their works, so you think you lots think you know better than Him? Not surprised though. No wonder He shall tell many Christians He never knew them so get ready.

What kind of reward? If you mean that the reward is eternal life, I think that you are mistaking.
In my opinion, good work is not sufficient to take guarantee salvation. What guarantees salvation is confessing Jesus.
Good works is the basis for rewards for those who are already saved. We shall not all receive the same reward (Matthew 16:27) even if we all are saved by a common grace. Everyone's works will be tested by fire. It doesn't mean that we will all be cast into the lake of fire. Our works will be made to stand the test of God.
We as humans do not really know what qualifies as good works. Most of our works qualify as show-offs. Such will be revealed by the flame of God's test. That's why Jesus told rich man in Mark 10;18 that he should call no man 'good' only God is good.

The good work we try to do with the energy of our flesh is nothing if it is not inspired by God. It is God who works in us, both to will and to do, of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). The works we do with the energy of our flesh is to seek personal glory, recognition, or to amass sentiments from people. I feel safe to also say that when we do 'good works' because we think we will receive a reward from God, it is also in that category. Of course,God has a reputation for rewarding good works, especially those that are done in secret, yet,the basis of good works is as it sounds, because it is the 'good' and proper thing to do.
This is my very humble submission sir/ma

Matthew 25:34 (KJV)

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Matthew 25:41 (KJV)

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matthew 25:46 (KJV)

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

There's a good reason I quoted the Words of Jesus Himself, but unfortunately it seems a waste of time since His own Words seems useless to you guys, and yet you call yourselves His followers?

My advice is that you learn to place His Words above whatever you think because those same Words would be used for or against you on the day of judgement when you appear before Him. Thanks.

God words cannot take you to even but it's a prerequisite for christian growth and development. Some of you don't really understand scriptures so you give interpretation that are not exact.
Eph 2;8-9. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
The judgement of God is for all men For the righteous and the unrighteous and it's for either reward or condemnation. However been saved is of grace.
Christians who think they know better than Jesus who they claim to serve. No wonder Jesus spoke of many who call Him "Lord, Lord" but don't keep His saying. They walk in ignorance yet they think they know. May God have mercy on them.

I thought we all néed the intervention of the Holy Spirit to understand the Bible.. so why are you both arguing.. or does it mean the Holy Spirit have you both different versions ?
First of all, Jesus Christ never said you first need the Holy Spirit in order to comprehend what is written in a book that is written in human language by humans to be processed by the human mind using what amounts to basic human language comprehension skills which anyone with the ability to read and write pretty much has. Second, even if we are to assume there are spirits involved in the process of comprehending that which is written, surely it ought to be clear at least to you that whatever spirit is working in that one is most definitely not the same one working in me. So, where exactly does this confusion of yours come from? Or do you simply assume that all spirits are the same and the Holy Spirit is all Spirits?undecided

what exactly do you mean by good work. For me, what determine whether a work is good or not is the law of God. This law was given to Israel by Jehovah teaching them good and bad/evil. Now if it is good work that will determine my being accepted by God, and not my faith in Jesus, what then will be God's basis for determining whether I did His will since he never really have me any command like he gave to Israel?
God's Old Law of Moses— the National Constitution of the Nation of Israel — handed to the Israelites defined for the Israelites in the Land of Canaan, God's standard of righteousness— good works— for them. undecided

God's New Law and Covenant, Jesus Christ, is the Constitution and Law in the Kingdom of God— what you call the Gospel— handed to each of those who would choose to believe in Jesus Christ and become born-again. This Law is the standard of righteousness —good works— in the Kingdom of God. The Law that is Jesus Christ comes with almost 100 commandments and as Jesus Christ Himself made clear, only those who obey His teachings and commandments will go on to do the good works He was able to do and more - John 14 vs 15 - 20 & John 14 vs 1 - 12 & John 15 vs 7 - 11 — Jesus Christ, God's Law, and Truth— is the standard of good works that we are meant to live up to, and surpass. undecided

A better question would be what do those who tell you that He died for your sins mean. Jesus Christ died to redeem those He was sent by the Father to, the Lost sheep of israel, from their sins against God. You see, God cursed and scattered them to all nations of the the world because of their sins against Him. So Jesus Christ died, not to absolve them from their sins, but to provide them a path to redemption. undecided
