The difference between the formal barber and the later barber is just interior decoration in their shop. But no be A.C and well furnished shop I come Enugu to chop.

I've seen barbershops that charge nothing less than ₦2,000 for basic haircut, and they record more patronage than the regular 'salons' who charge in the range of hundred.

The problem here is that a lot of barbers are selling their services instead of offering memorable experience with innovation, marketing their value and finding a way to reduce thier cost to make profit.

The truth is barbers who know their onions charge according to the quality of their service plus good customer relations.

But barbers charge more to design afro than they charge on low-cut; because I maintain afro.

Women don't carry a hair too long they must free the hair and change by or before 2 weeks but a man can maintain afro hair up to 7 months without using a barber.

I own a salon on the island and I pay 600k yearly on rent but haircut is 1k for women and 700 for men, children is 500. The least light bill I receive is #30k monthly including 28k monthly for things I buy (clippercide sterilizers, oil sheens, clipper oil, neck paper, Dettol, detergent, powder, aftershaves, carton of cruset dye, colour dyes, developer, shampoo, relaxer, gel, moulding gel etc)

Though I think my customers are up to 100 albeit, with 5 staffs, I must tell you that salon looks good at first but when you start you may not want to continue.

Due to the satanic change, it's now #500 in my hood.

Though the Barber often teases me by demanding #600 from me as a result of my voting a calamity in 2015, I still pay #500 sha.

It may interest you to note that some of the village barbers do well than those in highbrow township and charging cut throat amount.

As I looked up, I saw N700. Was shocked! I know the luxury barbers charge more but mehn, I am talking about the traditional salons here.

In my area in Lagos, it’s #800, so since I barb skin and to cut cost, na Aboki I Dey patronize now......they skin it well and shave me well also, for just #100
