Like I said, comparing lampard/gerrard with Xavi/iniesta won't be odd, people won't bite your head off if you do that, the latter aren't known for their goalscoring as much as for their assist rate, and the former, as I earlier said won't be overlooked especially when they score a lot of goals, that's one of the reasons why lampard came 2nd in the 2006 ballon d'or.

For the bolded, the players you mentioned are prolific YES but they don't disgrace goals like the duo of Messi and Ronaldo, and who said their goals (messi and ronaldo) don't produce trophies?
