I personally respect most of your views on nairaland but I must say I totally disagree with your view this time. The questions for you are simple:
1. In certain cultures (the Spanish for example) the traditional apparel for men is the skirt and a jacket; are those men all hell-bound who wear them?
2. Many females, these days, wear boxers (supposedly male apparel); are these category of women all hell-bound?
3. There are female trousers....specifically sewn for women; should they be categorized as male apparel? For example, can you put them on (I am guessing you are male)?
The context of the scripture cautioning against wearing apparel belonging to the opposite sex is based on cross-dressing where the wearer seeks to be potrayed as the opposite sex e.g. [b][/b]folks like Bobrisky. In essence, when a male wears trousers meant.for males, there's isn't any wrong done and when a female wears trousers meant for females, there isn't anything wrong either. However, moderation is key.

the bolded is not even the reason KJV used the word "pertains" women are considered unclean in the old testament so a man should not wear a garment that belongs to or is used by a woman.

The part you quoted is one of the 613 laws of Moses practiced in Judaism, which is pretty much what was practiced before the teachings of Jesus . The same chapter states that you should not wear garments that have two different fabrics, same law of Moses prescribed death by stoning to prostitutes, animal sacrifice for atonement of sins, getting married to one's brother's widow, just to mention a few.
Jesus has liberated us from the laws of Moses, apostle Paul in Galatians likened those still operating under the law as slaves. You cannot choose to obey part of the law and neglect the others.

In certain eastern cultures it’s only women who are allowed to wear trousers as par traditional custom and in any case trousers fit the anatomy of women much more than men (no Instruments that could be obstructed). Anyone who sees trousers as women’s wear is colonialised and whitewashed.

Actually, Christ liberated us from the ceremonial laws of Moses, not from the moral laws given thru moses. The actual meaning of that passage is that women shud not dress to look like men and vice versa.

Of course, women can wear trousers so long as it is not tight. That wouldn't make them look like men. The problem with most women is immodesty. Until they show their shape, cleavage, thigh etc, they won't feel good. All such dressing will only lead to hell because seduction and lust are serious sins.

Of course, women can wear trousers so long as it is not tight. That wouldn't make them look like men. The problem with most women is immodesty.
