We bless God. The rain of PPR has been amazing. It can only be God. Congratulations to the newly blessed. It will go round in Jesus name. I am thanking God in advance for my PPR too. What God cannot do does not exist.

My eligibility review has been on since June 2, omo this is the hardest wait ever in my life. I wish there are timelines to these things say Eligibility review must be done and concluded within one month. I guess it started quite early because I submitted IELTS, upfront medical and mbs.

Hopeful, Expecting, Positive!

May 14th Applicant.

Wish you success. Just keep ur faith alive. What God cannot do doesn't exit

Everything about Canada immigration require patience. They have announced on their site that they have backlogs of medicals. Since the clinic he/she did the test already confirmed they sent it, once they review it, her profile will definitely be updated. It's possible they sent the medical request before receiving the upfront medical. Medical is valid for one year so why do another one?

KellyKk:

Bro I suggest you go to another medical center for new test . They should be able to assist even without booking when u show them ur request from IRCC, and try to explain the scenario you found yourself.

On a light note..how is this a positive sign sef if it requires further or extra investigation..lol
Generally speaking ,nothing specific to you the original writer

I understand that recommend interview is not a guarantee of approval but if your application eligibility reads recommend interview, it means it is being considered for approval but they require further clarification before making the decision. Many times they go ahead and make a decision without the interview and at times they conduct the interview but generally your application is being considered for approval but they require further clarification. It is a positive sign if your eligibility reads recommend interview. it could have read eligibility failed. All the same it is not eligibility passed but it is good you are still under consideration for approval

It's quite an experience.

Application submitted may 15
Biometrics may 20
( Normal route)
The wait began.
I was tired to the point I decided to travel to various countries to avoid overthinking. Then, I got to Kenya.

On August 6, decided to go to Nairobi office to enquiry about my application but they told me to come back August 9. I went back and I was told they are on it. Well, I hoped they were and I went back to Nigeria.

September 17, correspondence and passport request.

I never submitted webform but make I no lie, my mumcy waka. She waka well well on my behalf. I'm grateful for this opportunity.

Docs submitted:

Personal Bank statement (8m)
Sponsor bank statement ( 100m)
Employment letter
Confirmation letter
Promotion letter
Reference letter from.my school principal
Congratulations to you and mummy.

Actually, Universities offers PGD, only few universities offer PG.Cert

For someone who graduated 5-10 years ago, PGD admission from a University is 50/50 , cos they kinda process their applicants the way they process Masters applicants and their admission requirements seems to be geared towards fresh graduates or people with less study gaps.

Look at

Graduate diploma in Accounting, Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario for example

Admission Requirements
1) An undergraduate degree (completed or in final stages of completion);

2) Completion of all prerequisites for courses in the graduate diploma (completed or in the final stages of completion with a minimum grade of C- in each course); and

3) A minimum required average in business-related courses of B-.

As you can see, the above admission requirements is not really aligning with the profile of someone with 5-10 years study gap, someone with a 2.2 and someone who don't have an accounting/business background but has the work experience., but its possible it might not be the same for all universities offering graduate diploma in ACCOUNTING.

In fact i saw a school that required interview, unofficial transcript (student copy) and Official transcipt for the Grad. diploma admission.

So colleges are not stringent in their admission process like a University and college admission requirements are not harsh. Before you get official transcript from Nigeria to a University in Canada, it would likely take a lot of time but colleges accept unofficial transcripts.

These are just my own observations and opinion, you can await more contributions from others

Thanks for this analysis bro. My next question is thus, for someone who intends to emigrate via the study route, will you recommend a 1yr graduate programme, bearing in mind that the number of years of PGWP approved depends on the programme duration. Again, PGWP can only be approved once in a lifetime ( I saw it somewhere). 1yr study qualifies 1yr PGWP. 2yrs may be up to 3yrs, though.

Finally, what are the chances of getting study permit approval for a 1yr graduate programme, perhaps for a woman with kids?

You are not the only one, I know someone that eligibility started on May 31 and yet to receive a decision. It is because they have issues that still requires clarification. Your application has moved from review required to recommend interview, which means they have carried out the additional review after the initial assessment but could not still come to a decision and recommend interview. I know someone that they called and conducted about 90 minutes interview for and they granted her the visa immediately after the interview. When they look at it again they will likely make a decision or call you for an interview.

The NSE documents made your eligibility review to start early but the issue that needed further review made the eligibility review to linger. Recommend interview means they want to ask you some question to clarify the issue before a decision but most time they don't have the time for the interview and just make a decision.

If the pre assessment has highlighted the issue with your application you will have sent a webform to address the issue but your pre assessment is blank and you don't have idea what the issue is that is causing the delay. You have to wait and hope for the best. Most times the decision is positive

You are welcome.

If an applicant has the intention of staying back after his/her study, one year program won't be enough (not recommended), but since not all PG.CERT COURSES have two years program duration, applicants who go for a year program usually go for a 2nd program so as to get 2-3 years PGWP which would avail them more time to prepare themselves for PR (Write IELTS, TEF, get WES result from Nigeria etc.)

Yes PGWP is gotten once in a lifetime

I don't have much idea on your last question, try get across to the gurus on that cos NO TWO APPLICATION IS THE SAME.

The documents, Proof of funds, home ties , etc. a SINGLE WOMAN would show for a study visa would be a bit different from the ones a MARRIED WOMAN would show.
