Hi everyone

Please how can I order a GCMS note
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by eclint(m): 8:48pm On Nov 09, 2021
Imagine that you didn't enquire from MP, how long you would've waited for IRCC. The delay also depends on when the charge back happened. Just like the gurus said, please a dress the issue ASAP.
All the best

It all started in 2014, I wanted to go for study then, I sent my transcript to WES for processing but when l calculated the money for study I discovered we don't have enough to pull me Tru so I opted to do my Msc in Nigeria.
2018, I wanted to consider EE, I wrote IELTS but scored 7665.5 so I couldn't enter the pool with the result but luckily I was able to enter MPNP, few months after I received LAA, a month later I declined due to some circumstances beyond my control. I wrote another IELTS and re entered the pool in 2019. The thought for study came back when MPNP refused to draw till this year June when they started again. So during the waiting, I began to search for sch. I applied to a sch and l got their LOA and to submit study permit application became problem. I wanted to use agent but my husband said No, try it urself. We fought but later succumbed.
Someone introduced me to her friend who got rejected but later approved thru the help of Nairaland. I talked to him and he said l should come here. Well I'm a ggc, I didn't know how to operate Nairaland but was able to send mail to two people and luckily both of them responded. @ahyotomiwa took my matter for head as if l know him before, he taught me how to operate Nairaland and sent me the link to follow for my documents. I wrote 6pages SOP, he corrected it and reduce it to 3pages without collecting Kobo. I pray the Lord will perfect everything that concerns you bro. He told me some tricks to avoid lump sum cos l had them and everything worked together for my good with the help of God. I'm giving glory to God alone cos l have received my identity. I am in my new.
When l submitted my application, God gave me a song by Judikah

You do not lie, you do not fail what is hard for u to do it doesn't exist ooo, it can never exist ooo. I pray everyday using Isaiah 41: 18 and God answered. I joined NSPPD prayer every morning and many others and he didn't fail me. I fasted tooo every Tuesday since I submitted huuummmm

Hello DrAFOguns

You failed to provide enough convincing documents to back up your financial claims in your application. what documents did you submit as regards finances in your last application?

The Visa Officer feels the course you are going to study in Canada is actually available in your home country, so why are you planning on spending a lot in Canada on a course that is actually readily available in your home country.
(Your SOP failed you here, cos you were not able to convince the Visa officer why you wanna study that course in Canada). Work on that section in your SOP.

Your purpose of visit does not appear reasonable simply shows you failed to convince the Visa Officer that you are a genuine student that is going to Canada to study and not to Japa.. Your SOP failed you here again, you didn't convince the Visa Officer of the importance of you going to Canada to study..
The applicant's immigration status, with this I wanna assume you applied outside of Nigeria, so they had issues with the fact that the country you applied from isn't your country, which means you do not have ties in the country you applied from. If you know you have ties in the country you are, then you will need to work on this in your LOE. if not, I will advise you go back to your country to re-apply.

Now the solution to this is simply your SOP and LOE, I wanna assume your SOP was watery, you generally failed to convince the Visa Officer with your SOP. A strong and convincing SOP will do the Magic in your next application..

Also for your finances, make sure you provide reasonable and convincing documents in your next application and also state these documents accordingly in your application, also if you used a 3rd party sponsor in your last application, and you are planning to use a 3rd party sponsor again, your sponsor has a lot of work to do on a commitment to your studies..

But I will personally advise you do away with a 3rd party sponsor if you have know the said sponsor wont be able to show total commitment in your next application.

Settle down and work on your SOP and LOE, if these (both) documents are strongly convincing, coupled with the right documents for your finances, your Visa is visible in your next application...

Peace

Thank you Omiinii. I provided documents to support all claims, Guess the VO missed it in the bulk of documents.
Omiinii:
DR AFO. The VO has issues with the documentation provided to show funds. He/she believes that either you do not have enough to cater for yourself and cover the total academic calendar of your program or that the program doesn't warrant such cost as you can source and get enrolled for it in your home country.

The VO also has issues with your country of residency as He/she believes that you aren't showing enough ties simply by living outside your home country.

The VO also has doubts about your purpose of study. This may be as a result of your socio-economic standing due to your income, education or employment status.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by DrAFOguns: 1:03am On Nov 10, 2021
Just finished masters in Chemical Engineering this July
Currently on a PhD here in Chemical Engineering as well (didn't mention this in my SOP). Previous years of experience are not related to course of study
Going for 'another' PhD in Chemical Engineering

I have scholarship from my supervisors, this will be more than enough for other expenses asides tuition which the university already waived.

I have not made any tution deposit (the university gave me full tuition waiver)
Self sponsored
I included personal bank statement of about 3.6m

I am not resident in Nigeria but I provided resident permit as well police clearance certificate from where I am resident

How do I tackle all these issues? Thank you.
Anon123:

What did you study
What do you do/work experience and how many years experience
what were you going for
What level of program were you going for

The VO has issues/doubts with your financial power

Have you paid your fees or deposit
who is your sponsor
is he or she related to you
Did you include your own bank statement

Travel history is not a denial reason as perseon with a virgin passport also get approved BUT

Are you in resident in Nigeria?
if no, did you sure evidence of resident permit in the country you are in?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by DrAFOguns: 1:09am On Nov 10, 2021
I provided my personal bank statement and the details of my scholarships are on the admission letter. However, my supervisor has agreed to provide a letter of support to state that the mentioned funds will be made available throughout my study.

Guess I will have to come to Nigeria to reapply.

I will work on my SOP/LOE bearing in mind the points you have raised.

Thank you for your help.

I will work on my SOP/LOE bearing in mind the points you have raised.

Thank you for your help.

There is a CIC form that ask for funding source. Please what did you write as your source of funding in the form? Thank you.

Please when filling if you have been denied a Canadian visa or any other type of visa
And “Yes” is the answer…..( even if it has been more than once for both countries )
should I state the generic response given for denial in the explain section right ? and also do I need to input the date of denial
Example is this okay
Canadian refusal —
I was refused as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on my purpose of visit.
- based on my personal assets and financial status.
USA refusal
I was refused based on section 214B which signifies that I did not demonstrate sufficiently strong ties to my country.

Cc Makano and everyone who has an idea.
