It depends on what you find out from professionals in the space. Many times what you read online isn't necessarily true. Seek out business analysts on Linkedin and find out what their day to day life is like, salary range, challenges etc.

Business analysts mostly work as the analysts behind Erp system and other technologically areas. You have to be tech savvy

@OP there is no course or degree that is not marketable the only missing link is that so many people or professionals do not get to discover how to effectively monetize their profession be it by seeking the right employment or self employment!
All ill advise is do a good research work on the need this Business course solves in the labour world and get a good plan on how you'll fit in.

Business Analysis is the practice of enabling change in an organizational context, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders - IIBA

Business analyst is often thought of as the link between the business and IT departments, they are agents of change and from my personal experience, you will perform better if you have an IT Background, Analytical, Inquisitive and good communication skills

It is a good career choice, not to be confused with Data Analysis ( who will provide your input for further analysis & decisions)

If you must pursue a career in BA, please get certified, preferably from IIBA - CBAP, ECBA, CCBA

Look into Agile, especially Scrum as well, as they usually go together

This is so untrue. There are business analyst, business intelligence etc departments in organisations. It is a very rewarding career.

It is. However, make sure you learn one or two software related to that course. If not, someone that is efficiently good at making use of those softwares will replace you or get considered ahead of you regardless of the theories you know.

With covid-19 ravaging world economies and companies struggling to stay afloat, the time for Business Analysis is now

Business Analysis isn't technically same as Business Analytics. Analysis is simply analyzing past data to understand pattern while Analytics involves being able to use the data and past trends to make more accurate predictions of the future.

Most Business Analytics program covers more of the Data Analytics side of things as such prepares you for roles in the Businesses Analytics, Data Analytics, and Data Science fields.

Lastly, the difference between Business Analytics and Data Analytics is how both utilizes data. The former gathers data mainly for end to end process improvements while the latter is to understand, draw insights, and make predictions.

Why not once and for all go into Business Intelligence and Analytics. It holds more line to where the world is heading to.

In the tech world, Business analysis is a thing. As long as there is Tech, there will be Business analysts, which makes it an in-demand job.

With tech experience/knowledge, I would recommend Business Analytics. Sound similar but completely different..
