Because there is cholera or malaria, does that mean we shouldn't care about covid?

1, There is is over 250k confirmed cases of covid in Nigeria in the last 20 months and over 2600 deaths as against less down 100k suspected cases and less down 1100 death in the same period. Emphasis on suspected cases and not confirmed cases like covid.

2, Covid is more contagious as it jumps from human to human unlike cholera that comes from a particular source.
