Occupants Of Car Crushed By 40-Ft Container in Lagos Speak Out After They Survived (Photos, Video)

The occupants of a car, who came out alive after a 40-ft container fell on their vehicle and crushed it, have spoken out days after the incident, IgbereTV reports.

Three friends - two women and one man - ordered a ride on Bolt on Sunday, September 19.

However, in the course of their journey earlier this week, a "40-ft container" fell on their car and crushed it. Despite being in the car beneath the container for hours, all occupants emerged alive.

After the accident, the ladies have taken to Instagram to thank God for their lives while sharing footage of the wreckage they were pulled out from. They also shared footage of themselves in hospital, receiving treatment after the accident.

I hate seeing them on the roads. They should be avoided by all means.

Get close when it's safe to overtake and then run like a person that stole phone inside computer village afterwards.

Bitter truth!

Your time of death has not arrived!

Death is a pill we'll all take and it can be anytime not dependent on age, religion, race, tribe or political party.

If you think you'll live long check the records and see the deaths. Miscarriages, death at birth, infant death, etc.

Saying your God is faithful for saving you makes no sense. That would make Him unfaithful for allowing the death of others!

Our time dey come!

Congrats

This could only have been God. May his name alone be praised forever.

Government should develop viable ports in other states. Most of these containers should be conveyed via railway on the interim.

Trucks are too much on our roads.

The problem is not only the containers and trucks that convey them but also the roads that these vehicles ply on. Budget after budget most Nigerian roads remains the same; death traps.

You said it all.

The fact remains that we will continue to share the roads with them, at least for a long time to come. However, people that share the roads with them should also take caution as their watchword. Honestly, most of this type of accident can be avoided if other drivers are taking precautionary measures. They get dangerously close without caution even when the truck or whatever it carries looks like it will overturn.

We Nigerians are an unserious lot. In saner climes the way the government would go after trucks that don’t bolt their containers properly enn; by the time they finish paying fines and compensation for damages, owners of trucks would not need to be told twice to do the right thing. But in Nigeria, na to thank God, give testimony in church and move on; till the next container falls on another car whose occupants might not be so lucky.

Nigerians very unserious bunch of people.

This is a miracle. Shame to the devil.

Lagos roads are too busy.
Sharing them with heavy duty trucks is very dangerous. Many times we shout this to the Lagos State Government but they just block their ears
