My wife mistakenly sent money to someone else account. This happened last week Thursday,because the next day (Friday) was public holiday and also followed by weekend. Now today, she went to her bank. The person had since closed the account after withdrawing the money.

This is what happened. She used banking code. So she just sent it hoping it was correct.

my man u go spend money tire to track that guy and at the end you might not even see the guy ....is not worth it. Just leave it...100k?? Before u know you don dey give police 40k like twice. And possible the guy might be living in a distance state from yours and how can you prove that your wife actually sent the money wrongly.

Forget the money. Someone transf 60k to a wrong acct instead of mine and was claiming he paid me. Bank said they contacted the person who got the money and the idiot withdrew it within 10mins and vowed never to return it,me sef I taya, the case wasn't going anywhere,back and forth email ,waste of card. Naso I take lost 60k. I no even bother,but come on 1st thing u suppose wait 3 days, the stupid thief of a woman withdrew my 60k within 10 good mins. Nigerians are thieves

I am just speechless by the comments I am seeing here from supposed educated people for that matter, the level of ignorance is blinding.

@op just tell your wife to visit her own bank branch tell the customer care personel what happened he will demand an affidavit from a court. The customer care agent will place a lien on his BVN and communicate same to all bank account he own now and in the future. Once he makes any deposit into the accounts linked to his BVN the money will be non withdrawable until the bank pays off his debts.
