Either kidney problems or extreme allergic reactions.
If he has problems urinating, or if you notice reduced urine quantity compared to water intake, or coloured urination, it might be water retention due to renal problems.
Allergies on the other hand are a confusing bunch, so I can't pinpoint any way to diagnose it

He is actually right you know.. swelling of eyes, arms and legs results from loss of kidney function.

I took a physicians course on Kidney disease and there I got to know kidney disease has stages from stage 1 through 4 or 5 thereabout when it becomes Kidney failure. Foamy urine and protein in the urine are early symptoms of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and early treatment most times slows the progression and in some cases dialysis and kidney transplant is required.
I know a guy who suffered these exact symptoms described by the poster but sadly didn't make it. Guess he couldn't keep up with the treatment but it's quite sad.

Kidney dx is a 20yr old is highly atypical plus if it was Kidney dx I'm sure they'd have gotten a diagnosis by now since she's saying they've been through multiple investigations.

Stop the lisinopril immediately. One of the side effects of lisinopril is oedema.

Please stop the lisinopril and observe him for about 3 days. You should see a difference if the swelling is a result of an allergic reaction. And most IMPORTANTLY, see a competent doctor asap.

3) full blood count
4) an abdominopelvic USS
5) Liver function test
6) clotting profile

Please, try and go to the hosp and ask the doctor if the Lisinopril is still ok for him to take. That drug has a serious side effect of angioedema and its an airway issue. From the pictures of the swollen eyes and your statment about the fact that he cant breathe due to the swelling, its a serious issue. Airway is priority in health and should not be taking lightly. Also, at the hospital, did they check his BUN and Creatinine level (Kidney function tests)?

Please, go to more hospitals asap. Its well with his spirit, soul, and body...Quickest recovery bro!
