It depends on the reason why he was served quit notice, what if he was building his own house opposite the landlord and refusing to pay rent in the landlords house and he found out?

If he was grappling with accomodation issues, how come he was suddenly able to build a new house within a space of two months?

OP told us this story to appear sweet to us. Landlords don't wake up and serve tenants quit notices. That tenant was probably messing up the landlord's house because he knew his was ongoing. If that's the case, it's cruel and senseless because what goes around comes around.

Why did the landlord serve him a quit notice? Prolly cos he was paying his rent. Except there's more to this story, I dont see anything glorious about this. Some tenants are from hell and deserve to return to a hotter part of hell.

Experienced a similar story recently. Tenant owed 2 years rent and kept giving excuses upon excuses till he was served a quit notice. Landlord forfeited the 2 year rent, only to find out later that the tenant was actually building a house on the same street. The silly tenant had the guts to move into his new house without bothering to pay up his debt.

This same tenant would probably have even gone to church to give a testimony like the one of the OP. Every testimony isnt from God!

And even if he did it brutally, something must have triggered it. Him building his house opposite his landlord is just immature and will forever be living to impress nobody.

This life is too short. He should have seen it as a blessing and keep thanking the man for pushing him towards his glory and not the other way round.

This guy refused to pay rent because he was building his own house already or already had plans to do so. The landlord is the aggrieved party here, the guy was living rent-free while planing to build his own house

Something like this happened to friend of mine.

The landlord did not only gave my friend quit notice, but the landlord threw my friend's belongings out side.
But as God will do it some contacted the young man and ask him to call the owner of the uncompleted building opposite his landlords house. Of which he did and he started staying the uncompleted building, though at first he had to fix window and door in one the rooms there.

To cut the story short. God has blessed my friend and as at today, My friend bought the house, built it to his thirst. And they attend landlord meeting together

Why is every one here taking it out on the guy. Instead of thanking God on his behalf for the break through and freedom from landlord wahala. Some even go as far as assuming he wasn't paying his rent, when they don't know the full story, omo the jealousy no be small. If you've ever been on the recieving end of some callous landlord you'll be thanking God for him.
