A wife might not be related by blood to her husband but she is with her children which in turn is the man's children thereby making them immediate family. Am sure the man would already make a way for them to be taken care of. Just leave that guy alone, his case file to finally grant him his portion of sense got burnt, so his case his irredeemable.
