The Senate on Wednesday approved the sum of $16,230,077,718, €1,020,000,000 and a grant of $125,000,000 as foreign loans for the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to fund its legacy projects.

The red chamber specifically approved the issuance of €500,000,000 from the Bank of Industries and €750,000,000 Eurobond in the International Capital Market.

It asked the President to forward the terms and conditions of the loan from the funding agencies to the National Assembly.

The Senate gave the approval following the consideration of the report of its Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, chaired by Senator Clifford Ordia.

This APC senate don finish this country Pata pata, but posterity will judge them for granting huge debt upon over 200 million innocent Nigerians and their generation to come. A house that cannot live by its means of income but live in debt will never know peace. A word they say is enough for a wise.

Either have faith that we'll pay off the debt in Jesus name or get double citizenship with another country.

E no bad if you get both, God will see us through in Jesus name.

The pay back plan is pay your taxes. Border closure is good policy. It will protect Nigerian goods. Personally if I were President, my economic policies would be more draconian. Nigerians don't want to use brains at all yet the world is changing.
There is energy transition. Crude oil will soon be destroyed as the most important global commodity.
There are supply chains issues and post COVID stuff causing global inflation yet all Nigerians can think about is cheap petrol, imported salad and bone straight hair. It is a disgrace

Nobody should come here and crucify the Buhari lead government on loan, we need as much loan as we can get to bridge the gap in our infrastructures. We are saw the loan they got for the train, it's working and we need more of it.
Most of the developed countries today did same centuries ago with the aid of slavery.

Senate leaders don't have veto power.

It was voted for by majority of the house and that's the only way it can be approved.

Buhari and Lawan have finished this country!
Obviously these guys don't believe in Nigeria.
Read in-between the lines..
Nigeria is not getting out of this debt burden.
Westerns creditors must have agreed with Buhari to borrow massively from their coffers. This explains their contineous support for his presidency. For the next 20 to 30 year. Nigeria will be using more than 80% of her budget to service debts..
The next government is finished. Their job will be the service and payment of debts used to build the infastructure of Niger republic and Mauritania..
They are borrowing avaraciously to build projects elsewhere because they don't believe in this country..
These guys have finished this country

Is Buhari an Antitype of Obasanjo?
Obasanjo ruled once from1976-1979, restored the country to democratic rule in 1979, he returned after 20 years in 1999 to help pay off our debts.
Meanwhile Buhari ruled once by disrupting the Democratic process which obasanjo instituted in 1983, returned to undo our non indebtedness which obasanjo secured.

How will the loans be repaid? what are the loan terms of agreements and who are the lawyers that reviewed those terms if they match acceptable global standards or not.

These are things they must make public for Nigerians on whose behalf those loans are being taken.. I'm not happy with this APC govt. of debts and their rubber stamp senate atal.
