First op, which part of the country are you residing and secondly it's a fallacy to get such meat at the price you said. For economical reasons people should tell the meat seller to cut their meat for N100/piece, that's what all these mama put do and it pays for them. Honestly you did not spend wisely, so leave madam to continue with the affairs of the kitchen kawai. Women are trying when it comes to the food we eat |

I ported to pork last year. Used to buy a kilo for N900 when I started. The price gradually moved up to N1,000 per Kg on weekdays/Saturdays and N1,200 on Sundays. At the height of IPOB's distortion of economic activities, the price of N1,200 per Kg became a permanent fixture. The demand for pork has skyrocketed over time and for that reason, the butchers in true fashion jacked up the price again to N1,500 per Kg about 4 weeks ago. Quite sad. It's still a lower-priced meat alternative to beef though and you'll enjoy your purchase if you know the non-fatty, meaty cuts of pork to buy. You'll have to be very early at the market to get that though. |
