After one week of intense struggle between the best 10 chess players in Nigeria, International Master Olawafemi Balogun emerged as winner, taking home 1.5 million naira. The event ended on the 14th of November 2021.

FIDE Master, Abimbola Osunfuyi, AKA Young GM came second.

The other contenders were:
Daniel Anwuli, Akinseye Abiola, Ajibola Olarenwaju, Odion Aikhoje, Okeke Isaac, Abdulrahman Abulraheem Akintoye, Bomo Kigigha and Chukwunonso Oragwu

In the female section, Perpetual Ogbiyoyo won the event, while Akinwamide Oluwadamilare won the Masters section.

The international title is the second most prestigious title you can be awarded in chess, while the grandmaster title is the highest title. No Nigerian currently holds the grandmaster title, but the players listed below are the only international masters in Nigeria:
