NOBODY CAN REPLACE ANY LANGUAGE.

THEY ARE WELL OVER 500 YEARS LATE.

LET THEM KEEP FOOLING THEMSELVES, THEY WILL GET OLD AND DIE OFF AND IGBO, UBANI(BONNY), OPOBO WILL REMAIN.

I GIVE THEM 12 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS, THEY WILL TURN HISTORY ON FACEBOOK.

This one is suffering APC administration syndrome. Igbo's populations is about 75 millions, is impossible for noise of less than 5 million tribe to trouble them.

For those of our brothers who say it is thrash and all that you don't know what is going on.

There is a well scripted agenda being pursued by political leaders in the country. When Buhari said that the Igbos are a dot in the circle and that some ethnic leaders have given him assurance we are not going anywhere, little did we know it was a very pregnant statement of fact based on well laid down plans.

The video you watched is only part of a much bigger plan. Whoever is close to Ogbonna Okoro should tell him to be very careful.

So all these threads on nairaland is what is giving ijaws hypertension grin grin cheesy cheesy why the insecurity? If bonny indigens are really ijaw people they are not supposed to be forced to speak and learn the ijaw language. Free these people abeg they might revote against the ijaw nation if they continue to be pushed too much this is the 21st century.

This is the problem with Igbos. Ijaws are now ant and minority, abi.
Igbos are so disrespectful. Anyone doubting should reflect back Nnamdi Kanu past behavior.
You guys are alienating yourself. The day you will need the "minority ants tribe" is coming. That day, the tears of your fathers, grand fathers and uncles between 1967 and 1970 will be like a drop of water in the ocean when compared.

By the way i watched the video, and I must say the ijaw set of people that are embarking on whatever they want to embark on,using this way of literal language change by telling igbos what to say and what not to say are using a very dull medium to take Bonny(Okoloma) as theirs. If people asks them "Why the sudden language change?" What will be their response? They would also have to inquire of them if the sudden language change has the approval of the people's living in the area, and not just a group of ijaws that want others resources for themselves.

If indigenes of those IsIand can't fight for their Igbo heritage there is nothing anybody can do for them.
I read through the comments most of them seems cool with the change of language only one person pointed out it won't be easy to switch from Igbo to Ibani as the two languages are not related.

Minority useless tribe that's not up to Onitsha population. Why forcing people to learn language of pipeline guarding slaves. Ijaw remains a minority tribe and it's an insult to great Igbo nation to take them seriously. Them no fit challenge Igbo at all both in population, wealth, education and what-have-you.

The owners of Bonny and Opobo are within their rights to sensitize their indigenes on the need to prioritize their language over a strange language.

It's time they eradicate a slave language and declare their indigenous language official. Kudos to the elders of Bonny/Opobo

This is why you have embarked on a dubious mission to Land grab Bonny.
All cartographic evidences from precolonial till date show that ibos are landlocked.
