And in conclusion, the city states prior to the europeans didn't bare kings that's true,
Priests (pere) were the rulers/spiritual custodians.

Some clans still maintain and call their rulers (pere)

That is the reason why you said AMAYANABO isn't the only ruling title.
We also have Pere (priest)

I will forgive the part you said Nembe which is my place is Igbo speaking because if you go their to make that statement, the beating you'll receive you'll be lucky to come back alive.
Paisise don't utter that statement again, you're not an obori-nama

Try to make out time to tour the coastal areas.
Thank you.

What does this proof? many Ignos call it Akatta as well..
Next. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Back in elementary school, we studied a subject in English language; I can't recall the subject.
But the questions usually goes like this.
"Pick out the odd one"

Akatta-igbo

kasa -kalabari-ijaw
kasa -okrika-ijaw
kasa -ekpetiama-ijaw
kasa - okrika-ijaw
kasi - andoni-ijaw
akasa -opobo-ijaw
akasa -bonny-ijaw
ekasa -engeni-ijaw
kasa -egbemo-ijaw
kasa -kirikeni-ijaw
ikasa -tarakiri-ijaw
kasa -koluama-ijaw
kasa -nembe-ijaw

So from the above, you can't pick out the odd one?

You've brought your foolishness into 2022 again

Lol,
It is finished.
You just called my own city state "Nembe" Igbo origin?
Oh my God
You see why I say you're daft?
Again you called Delta State central ijaw.
If this is a joke, stop it.
Central ijaw clans are Nembe and akassa.
It was even categorized by linguist and researchers like Gerrit Dimmendaal, Kay Williamson, Roger blench etc.
Look at the first screenshot.
Look I'm taking it lightly with you because you're a foreigner who probably don't know.
You also say we do not understand ourselves? That is the most stupidest, silliest statement borne out of ignorance. I as a Nembe guy can hear when okrika, calabari, ogbia, tarakiri and ekpetiama people speak.
I will also show you prove from the second screenshot further down.

Keep on fooling yourself. Isn't it Alagoa your grand master that said Central Ijaw is in present Delta state.

And a great percentage of Nembe people speak Igbo as a first language, and have an Igbo history too. Read the books, and stop showing me Wikipedia notes that can be tweaked at any time.
I'll reiterate, Nembe has Igbo speaking, a majority of them do so. And its history is Igbo. If peradventure you are one, then read your history, perhaps this has been the cause of your insecurities and mental squabbles.

And it's a lie, isn't it known that a western Ijaw person can't hear a hoot when the others speak? That's one.

And Nembe, Kalabari and all those you've mentioned above either have Igbo or Ibibio history, Kalabari for certain has Aro, Ibibo, and Igbo history. I thank the whites who settled down here prehistorically and jotted down every detail, without that we wouldn't have known all these. 1880s- early 1900s are sources to be considered. Not 1970s reports on these city states.

And I also blame the whites becuase by creating Nigeria, such avenue gave the Ijaw the needed flow to begin to claim lands that weren't theirs because they desire to have some presence in Nigeria, so they could pull themselves from Minority status.

That's why you people are doing all things possible to put it that way. But it won't work, becuase you've failed. Most of these people you claim know their history, but becuase of the oil they found in Oloibiri and several factors which came to par; all these are temporary by the way. But they know, and I won't refute the claim that some are a bit lost to in their identity.

Not to feel sentimental, I won't bore you with much detail. Go and read Nembe and the likes account. And you'll know better. You've been stolen of your identity (if you're from Nembe) but you don't know.

Feel as you wish. Your brain is small to comprehend dear. So stop trying. Ubani is just a social construct, just the same way you call an Igbo person Aro, Ezza, Orlu or you call an Orlu, Ezza, Aro person an Igbo person? So keep to yourself.

Igbo is just an intelligeble language known by all. Just the same way the Igbanni or Ibani or Ubani people who were said to be coastal Igbos and their neighbours knew Igbos well and called them the word Igbanni or Ibani.

(To add, most clans in the Igbo state didn't call themselves Igbo, it was democratic as you know, so every one called themselves in their city states. )

If you read Crows and the likes books, Ibani or Ubani was aptly stated that it was an Igbo word which the coastal Igbos and it's people used for the upland igbos, and the Upland Igbos called their coastal kin the same word, Igbanni. Read books so you can learn, okay. grin grin

Nonetheless, Igbanni, Ibani or Ubani was made for the coastal Igbos by Igbos themselves. That's what they often called them. Read Crows or Glynn's and the likes book to get a grasp of it. And stop reading the liar, Alagoa. He has no basis whatsoever, but giving your community pure ficitonal stories.

Ibani simply means, Igbo Ani or Igbo ala, which in essence means land dwelling igboes.

One who doesn't even know the borne of contention came and said
"Ibani means igbo-ani; land dwelling igbos"
And the only fans porn actress said "gbam"

Forgetting the place has nothing to do with "land dwelling" because it is swampy and close to Atlantic.

Confusion everywhere.

Ignorance.
Alagoa said that in the 1970s
Roger Blench and Williamson kay(British linguist) did their grouping in 1989
You can't even understand the difference of time.
So pathetic.

Anyways, luckily I have a book written by Daniel Ogiriki ockiya 1874-1954 on the history of Nembe.
Atleast the book was written between the 1890s-1930s
Focus on the third and fourth snapped pages
Help yourself and stop being daft and foolish.
