TOPIC: DON’T QUIT! FOLLOW HIS PATTERN!

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
JOHN 7: 38 - 50

Welcome and let’s have a quick look at Jesus’ background because His life sets the pattern for our walk with God. Jesus was born in the tiny town of Bethlehem in poverty. He was raised in Galilee, and no one believed that a man of God could come from there (John 7:52). He was raised in Nazareth. The inhabitants of that city were considered to be wicked and worldly by the Jews; so people migrated from it. He had no family connections. He had no money. He had no support from the religious leaders of the day. Jesus was considered to be “a nobody,” from nowhere, who would amount to nothing! His parentage was questioned (John 8:41) by His enemies. His followers were the ordinary people of society! His own people rejected Him. He was despised and rejected by men. The Romans (the government in power) eventually nailed Him to a cross and buried Him in a tomb. His followers preached His resurrection, but most people ignored their message and considered them fools for following a dead man.

Even the Lord’s message was hard to swallow. For some it still is, because it goes against our human nature. Jesus said to get, you have to give away what you have. He told people to love their enemies. He counselled men to turn the other cheek. He spoke of walking the second mile. Jesus arrived on earth in very insignificant and ordinary circumstances. He was the mustard seed that God “planted” on earth, and it was from this humble beginning that the Kingdom of God was founded. He completely shattered the expectation of what the Messiah was going to be. God introduced His Kingdom to the world in the smallest, most humble manner imaginable! But that is how He operates. He uses the small, humble, vulnerable and weak to achieve great things for His glory. So no matter what you are going through, always remember that it was the pattern from the LORD; from SMALL to BIG! From REJECTION to SELECTED! From ZERO to HERO! So, hold on and hold out! You will shine and win!

3. LORD, distinguish me in my generation in
Jesus name.
4. Even Jesus was mocked and considered the product of

my life to show the world what You can do with a NOBODY!

5. THE LORD uses the small, humble, vulnerable and weak to achieve
great things for His glory. Oh God! That shall be my story!
6. Pray for pensioners and the elderly today! Loose their peace
and HEAVEN AT LAST!
7. Pray about today and any matter affecting your peace!

TOPIC: YOU ARE A “MUSTARD SEED” SHOCKER!

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
EXODUS 4: 10 - 17; MATTHEW 13: 31 - 32

Moses was called by God out of obscurity to challenge Pharaoh and secure the release of the Israelites from oppression. Moses himself said “Who am I? I am slow of speech. Send someone else!” Gideon was called from the smallest family in the smallest tribe of Israel, yet God raised him up to be a great military leader. WHERE AND WHAT YOU ARE NOW CANNOT STOP/LIMIT GOD! It would have been a surprise for Jesus’ listeners to hear Him compare the Kingdom to something as small as a mustard seed and yeast.

They would have expected something huge and powerful, maybe an oak tree, or a mountain, or a mighty river, or thunder and lightning! Wow! The LORD has been speaking to someone: NEVER DESPISE THE LITTLE IN YOUR HANDS! NEVER LOOK DOWN ON YOURSELF OR COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS! YOUR GOD IS A SPECIALIST IN STARTING SMALL AND ENDING MEGA! Joseph was despised by his brothers and sold into slavery to the Egyptians. God rescued him from prison and led him to a position as a senior official in government.

From an EX-CONVICT to HIS EXCELLENCY! From PRISON TO THE PALACE! Ah! David was the youngest of 8 sons. He was given the job of shepherd boy that no-one else wanted; left out in the fields to tend sheep. God turned him to a giant-killing king! Don’t get depressed at where you are now because God uses the small and insignificant! The Holy Ghost wants you to know that as you HOLD ON AND HOLD OUT, your best days are ahead because you are a MUSTARD SEED SHOCKER! Shout “7 AMEN” and “7 HALLELUIAH ”now. Pray seriously now!

there is a God in Israel!

TOPIC: THE “CRISPR” TECHNIQUE: THE TIME OF THE END

BASIC SCRIPTURE: DANIEL 12: 1 - 13

For the first time, a scientist claims to have used a powerful, new, gene-editing technique to create genetically modified human babies. Wow! IF TRUE, THEN THIS IS END-TIME KNOWLEDGE INCREASE! The scientist, He Jiankui of the Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China, said he used human embryos modified with the gene-editing technique CRISPR to create twin girls. He said: “Two beautiful little Chinese girls name Lulu and Nana came crying into the world as healthy as any other baby a few weeks ago,” he said in a video posted online. “The babies are home now with their mom Grace and their dad Mark.” He said his team performed “gene surgery” on embryos created from their parents sperm and eggs to protect the children from the human immunodeficiency virus, HIV, which causes AIDS. The children’s father is HIV-positive. Again I say: if true, the move would be historic, comparing it to the birth of Louise Brown, the first baby created through in-vitro fertilization, IVF. Don’t forget that since the world’s first test-tube baby was produced about 35 years ago, there are now 250,000 children ‘created’ from the test-tube technology. Now it is the gene-editing technique – CRISPR! The first reaction worldwide by scientists was that of shock. However, as these signals begin to emerge, the words of Daniel 12:4 become so real: “Seal the book, even to the times of the end: many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased.” CRISPR technology may still be a controversy, not fully accepted in the scientific world and sounds unbiblical, but I hope you know that Jehovah Adonai created the egg of the woman and cells of the body! The emphasis in today’s devotion however, is that we are in the times of the end. Can you doubt that? It’s time to sit up and daily take stock of your life on this planet. If the rapture should take place now, are you really sure that your name is still in the Book of Life? Keep your garments white and do a self-check/examination today and may we meet at the Foursquare City! Live as if Christ died yesterday and is coming back today! Home is near!

2. Repent from whatever you know will keep you from the FOURSQUARE CITY called HEAVEN.
3. My name shall not be missing from the Book of Life.

5. Decree that there shall be the shout of “HEAVEN AT LAST” in your life, family and ministry!

TOPIC: THE ATHEIST WHO RESIGNED!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 139: 19 - 24

I am pointed to and reminded of the Late Dr. Tai Solarin, a Nigerian and someone you would call a social critic. He served as a commissioner in 1976, but resigned himself when he drove without a license. HE JUDGED HIMSELF! Again in 1988, he resigned as chairman of Peoples Bank of Nigeria, when he could not perform his role. What keeps amazing me about this man is that he was a self-proclaimed atheist, yet he had great qualities we can learn from. Do you know that one of African’s great men of God, the respected founder of DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH, W. F KUMUYI, once called this man his secular mentor? KUMUYI schooled and later worked with him at MAYFLOWER SCHOOL IKENE (his alma mater), NIGERIA, as a young Mathematics teacher! However, he revealed that Solarin’s principles of hard work, industry and uncommon discipline rubbed off on him as a young man especially after he became born again on April 5th 1964.

Can you sincerely judge yourself without hiding your faults? Can you prescribe punishment for yourself without a master? This is the road to excellence. The Word says, the saints shall judge the world (1 Corinthians 6:2). Yea, it even declares that we shall judge the angels (1 Cor. 6:3). It is only a man who has judged himself and judges himself daily that can judge angels. We will pray part of the Basic Scripture later! 1 Corinthians 11:31 declares that if we judge ourselves, then we would not be judged. Tai Solarin, an atheist, could resign because he drove a car without a license.

The world is looking for men who are not for sale, who are honest and sound from centre to circumference, true to heart’s core. Men who will stand for the right even if the heavens totter and the earth reels! Dear Pastor, can you step down from the pulpit for a while? Dear child of God, can you suspend yourself as a church worker if the need arises till you fix your soul with God again? Judge yourself and watch a new you emerge! Publilius Syrus said, “to confess a fault freely is the next thing to being innocent of it.” Tai Solarin was an atheist, yet he pruned his character and “secularly mentored” a young man who was to become a worldwide preacher! You are better than him because you are born again! Judge yourself and have a great future! (ODM is the best GIFT ITEM. Use it always).

2. Repent from past efforts at covering your faults – INDISCIPLINE!
3. Sincerely use today to settle your life, ministry, and judge yourself. Loose the salvation of Souls now!
4. Open to Psalm 7: 8-11 and declare it prayerfully thrice!

TOPIC: PERSUADE MEN: THIS GENERATION IS WAITING

BASIC SCRIPTURES: MARK 16: 15 - 18;
2 CORINTHIANS 5:10 - 11

Welcome and remember that man is the object and target of both God and Satan. So, do nothing that will degrade man, by your negligence, laziness or procrastination. The Word says, “but the end of all things is at hand”(1 Peter 4:7). You must live in such a way that believes the WORD – the ultimate end of this generation is near.

This is because NO MAN or WOMAN knows which generation or when the end will suddenly come! Let us therefore go forth and present heaven’s programme to a waiting and wasting generation. Let us march forward without looking back! Argue hard if necessary, for words break no bones. Persuade heaven’s interest and shun self-seeking. For the success of God’s programme in your local church, local government, state, or nation, you are God’s creative force. YOU ARE GOD’S HANDS, LEGS, MOUTH AND EYES! YOU ARE A “LITTLE JESUS.” Yes! You are the “god” that your neighbours or generation sees! Heaven is depending on you. Put your personal tears behind you. Rescue a soul this week! Rescue a soul this month! Hell and Heaven are so real, therefore, knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men (See 2 COR. 5: 11 again). Persuasion means to influence, to explain, to urge and to advice. Pray daily for the salvation of souls with a genuine Holy Ghostinspired conversion.

Give to encourage your church evangelism unit. Print gospel tracts; Oh, I did this in my college days with my pocket feedings money! Sponsor film shows around your neighbourhood! Visit the prisons and hospitals with the gospel and ODM copies. Do something and watch heaven move. Proverbs 25:15 says: “By long forbearing is a prince persuaded.” Do not give up easily when it comes to soul winning. There is crisis in the world. These are perilous (difficult) economic days! But instead of going with the crowd (complaining), we are to show the way!y Persuade men! This generation is waiting!

2. No matter what you are going through as a person, ask God
to use you to preach the gospel. Repent from laziness!
3. Mention the names ofy at least 5 people. Pray for their salvation

TOPIC: WELCOME TO MY “DRIVING SCHOOL”

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
2 KINGS 5: 14 - 27

Welcome to today’s devotional! Today, I am led to share with you again, top basic rules to safe driving: I am your driving instructor today! LOL! Drive at a safe speed. Don’t drink and drive. Obey the road rules and markings. Concentrate at all times and be always prepared. Be patient and when in doubt, don’t proceed. Plan your moves well in advance (ANTICIPATION). Give correct signals. Be alert particularly at junctions. Never use a mobile phone while driving. Be prepared for unexpected and unsignaled stopping. Give other road users correct, adequate and advance notice about your intention. – Fasten your seat belts at all times. Severity of accidents on the roads has been reduced by 50% by seat belts. – Never assume that other road users are observant or skilful. A learner or teenager may be next to you. Drive defensively! Observe the approved speed limits! Truly, worldwide, a government’s cardinal aim is to avert road mishaps. But has it ever occurred to you that many people are already casualties on the road of life?

Many have financial, marital, career, emotional, ministry and general life accidents and many are yet to recover! There are hundreds of hurting souls using this devotional who must realize that: Emotional and spiritual accidents are worse than physical accidents. As you journey through life’s destiny pathway, determine by the grace of God that you will arrive at your God-appointed destination in peace and not in pieces. What are your life’s RULES? Always follow the driving rules of life – THE BIBLE! Remember that Gehazi, king Saul and Mark, etc, were life’s casualties. Decree that no matter the potholes and recklessness of other fellow travellers or demonic forces, you will make it.
FOLLOW THE LIFE DRIVING BOOK (The BIBLE) and your life shall not end as an accident!
