While many of you have been programed that you can't succeed until you go to Europe or USA to do odd jobs, Lebanese, Pakistani indians are buying off the land you abandoned behind. They mixing sugar and water for us together to make millions, they are selling us drinking water, frying plantain chips for us while we say theres nothing to do.
People are investing in this same economy, with the challenges already known, without the power. An American lady has invested in maize farms and tomato paste plant in Kaduna many of us will not even visit.

The most immigrants to Europe and the USA are indians, Chinese and Pakistani. Care to explain to the house why they also "abandoned" there nations ?

the average wage pay for a Nigerian graduate is less than 50k (cost of a foreign bag of rice)- yes that's what a Nigerian graduate is worth paying for working slave hours a month. So why will you begrudge Nigerian youths seeking for greener pastures in actually working countries ?

And by the way,the biggest investors in Nigeria till date still remain Nigerians ,

it is people like you pseudo intellectuals who don't know anything but think they know that populate buhari regime that are responsible for his under achievement, you talk about deregulation in the loose term as if it means high prices
Deregulation is meant to achieve best price at best quantity
A country is supposed to enjoy the benefits of those things in which it has comparative advantages
Nigeria has over 200trillion in gas reserve and among the top 10 countries with the highest proven gas reserve, it should have no business importing, it should be a net exporter earning huge foreign ,the same thing with petroleum products
But Nigerians are unfortunate to have you guys in power to chastise them with scorpions until they have sense.

That 200 trillion standard cubic feet of gas formed in our reserves in the last 7 years since Buhari became president?

They've been there before Nigeria was founded and Buhari is one of the few leaders who has done something about it. 7th train NLNG that will increase our gas output by 30% us under construction.
Significantly GEJ a president from SS did not move the needle on gas projects

Cooking gas ? What is Buhari's business with that ! The fula man's main priority now before the expiration of his evil tenure is how to forcefully establish GRAZING ROUTES aka RUGA in every nook and cranny of Nigeria !

Guy man is modern day Usman Dan Fodio !

False, LPG is a manufactured product and does not occur naturally
Its components propane and butane must be separated in complex gas processing plants or from very expensive oil refinery or LNG plants.

We don't supply LPG to other countries we rather import to augment out local production.

Dangote refinery will produce LPG as by products and the ongoing train 7 NLNG plant will increase domestic production but it will still be sold at market prices but will benefit from no VAT policy on locally produced LPG
LPG is not 'manufactured' as you put it, but obtained from processing natural gas by liquefaction and separation. And, lets not be deceived, Nigeria actually exports LPG, while at the same time importing to augment local supply in a manner that defies logic!
Finally, gas price including lpg surged globally in 2021 no doubt, but no one should be decieved into believing that there is nothing the federal government can do to make the product a bit more affordable for Nigerians, especially considering it is a product produced locally.

Is government or Buhari the ones setting cooking gas prices? Dont make those who sponsored your education feel they lost their investment
Am the one increasing the cooking gas prices. Oponu! That is why people like you will always end up as victims under this bad leaders. Even if he is not the one setting the price, as long this is our own resource, there should be subsidy for the masses because the hardship is unbearable for the masses. Again, this is one of the conditions IMF gave him based on the loan your master collected.

To those fools and stupid people siding with Buhari claiming global increase in fuel price isn't Mr president fault..... Can u compare rate of increment in fuel price in Nigeria to any other countries worldwide since 2015.
When things is not right it's not right. And if u still think it not Buhari fault May God punish una because no b only gas de cost for Nigeria. Infact every dam thing cost drastically.

The fuel you buy here at 162 will cost you over 700 naira in UK, what's your point?

2. Price of gas went up world-wide! Not only Nigeria! World wide. When will we accept there is no free lunch anywhere?

The exchange rate adjustment and VAT on imported gas are two cost imputs the government is wholly responsible for.

Most of it. LPG doesn't need much processing like crude oil needs

You don't know the reality, trust me I know because I have worked In gas plants. Gas handling is far more difficult and expensive to handle than crude oil, that's why some IOCs find it easier to burn off the gas to sell the oil.

But they are building their troublesome countries while conquering more territories including your own you left in ignominy. Indian workers typically earn less than Nigerian workers but they don't go around telling the whole world how useless and failed their country is. I have walked on Indian streets, there was cow dung and human waste here and there and palpable poverty, but they aren't bitter like many of you.

If you understand the meaning of manufacturing you will not say that. Neither propane nor butane occur naturally, they must be separated from natural gas in columns costing millions of dollars using expensive catalyst. Then they must be blended together to create LPG.

The complexity of the commercial contract that makes it possible to export LPG from the NLNG is not what Buhari can change by fiat. They have done what is possible by requesting the company dedicate more output to the domestic market. Locally produced LPG is not even subject to VAT which is supposed to be an incentive to local producers and jobs. There are many gas projects that will come on stream this year to ameliorate the situation. However the era of cheap LPG may be long gone worldwide

Lapako, suegbe, the LPG you are importing from the manufactures is your own resources?
What of the steel, aircraft and cars you import from all over, they are also your resources?
How can anyone be this dumb? Go and scoop LPG from under the ground now since it's your resources.

Oga, there is nowhere on earth where LPG is 'manufactured', please. Methane, butane and propane occur naturally as a mixture known as natural gas. Processing seperates the natural gas into its contituents, from where we get LPG (butane and propane mixture).
Despite your writeup there, i am still convinced that there is what government can do to make the product more affordable. The government is wholly responsible for costs arising from VAT on imported gas and exchange rate adjustments, so they can tinker with that for a start. Do you need more?

Processing and blending is what sir using multi million dollar equipment?

We are not talking of picking stones out of beans.

VAT on imported LPG is the position of the tax law every dealer was aware of 2-3 years ago. Locally produced LPG are still tax exempt, but why is it not selling cheaper? Simple law of demand and supply in a deregulated market.

If you have the acumen and better idea on how to supply LPG at cheaper price to the market, this is your chance to hit it big.

The only thing Buhari known despite his military trainings is tending cows and creating unnecessary hardship to harm Christians. Unfortunately, it is his Northerners that are suffering the most!

Tinubu brought him to power thinking he will handover power to him after 8yrs. Buhari will rather create artificial military coup against himself than giving Tinubu chance.
