At least she can only be a member of this group either by birth or convertion, if through birth her parents will suffice and if through convertion the local congregation will be held responsible.
From the look of things she must have committed some grievous blunders that makes her run away from God's people her boyfriend knew the religion she chooses but don't know why she's stranded.
If your family member is reported to have being in her situation won't you cry out for help? Why is it that only the boyfriend came out?
