What's all this long story about Tinubu contesting. He's a Nigerian like you and he has the right as a Nigerian to do so
I still don't understand why people are protesting
It's not as if he would be appointed
You compare Nigeria to advanced countries and arab worlds , are they ruled by younger men?

You all want younger people, but nobody is coming out
Being a leader is not about age, its about having vision
And she feels so pained about this she should go ahead and contest

That is the beauty of democracy, you demarket what you don't want.....

We obviously expect someone like you to take the center stage now, Nigerian we have lean our lesson, people like you wrote about how Buhari would do well considering his experience as a general, allow us to choose, don't criticize anybody for us, enough of this, though we just the start sha, 2023 shall tell.

Am yet to see any reasonable responsible yoruba person that's supporting tinibu's presidential ambition those who have came out to back him are mostly lagos agberos and extremely corrupt politicians yet some nairalanders here keep bashing igbos for hating tinibu.

Perhaps you are choosy with your point about Tinubu and his administration. Anyways, when you are learning about disadvantages of anything, make sure you learn about the advantages too. It won't just make you a learned person, but also make you a man with fairness and integrity.
Mention your preffer candidate and let's see. Canvas for him and let's see how far he can go. As for me, Asiwaju ni mo dibo fun

Go to Obalende, Ilupeju, Ebute-Meta, Victoria Islands...Despite AD,AC,APC ruling Lagos since 1999 transportation and commuting in Lagos is getting worse by the day. Check lost manhour daily.
I didn't mentioned Ajegunle, Amukoko, Orile, Ijora, Egbeda, Agege and see how people are deteriorating daily..... grin grin grin

Thank you for your decent response.

Agreed that democracy thrives on choices. Nobody is restricted or should be restricted in anyway from expressing their democratic rights or aspirations.

I am not advocating for Osibanjo, neither am I a supporter of the failed party, APC, but looking at his pedigree, do you not see him as someone who will make things work?

Nobody stops BAT from contesting, but looking at Adelakun’s comment, where can you find any fault in reality?

At this point for me, we should stop recycling certain old politicians, not just BAT, but others who have held this nation by its jugular and consistently suffocate the citizens.

This nation needs to move forward. We must not elect our leaders out of sentiments. We must elect only people who understand what the words “change” and “next level” mean in the true sense.

There are so many things wrong with Adelakun's write-up.

The lady merely regurgitated what most haters, enemies and opponents of Tinubu have been recycling online with any iota of intellectual investigations to ascertain the Truths.

1) She alluded that Tinubu's parents and names are shrouded. She ought to tell us who are the real parents of Tinubu and his given name and tell us where crimes have been committed in all these.
He who alleges must give proofs

2) She singled Tinubu, who is not holding any office, out to receive all the blames of the Buhari Administration. She didn't even blame Buhari for his shortcomings.

Now, can Tinubu single handedly make Buhari or anyone president? Why has she not blamed other people in the party for the failures of Buhari?

3) Tinubu was Governor between 1999-2007 but Abimbola somehow feel he is still to blamed for whatever is wrong in Lagos.

In a way, quite unlike her cerebral past, she blamed Tinubu for Lagos not being like Singapore.

How can Lagos, a State in Nigeria be on the same pedestal with a sovereign Nation like Singapore?

Can Lagos develop in Isolation while the rest of Nigeria are backward? The development of Lagos can only be relative to the development of Nigeria as a whole. I am surprised that Adelakun fail to understand this fact.

Will Lagos have become Dubai and Singapore if the State is being ruled by other parties in which Tinubu is not a member?

Tinubu is not a saint, just another Nigerian politician and Abimbola Adelakun is free to hate him but justifying her biases and prejudices by blaming Tinubu for all the ills in the land is quite illogical.

Somebody must become the president and that person is already part of the Nigerian politics, so let her start campaigning for him.

When you see Tinubu, Just picture Buhari as a gun wielding thief. I think Buhari will be better of for 3rd term than Tinubu for a year. Tinubu is a cancer. A rot in the system. Am man who can be mute when his people are being massacred and sent on exile to another land and when coerced to talk, He sided with the enemy. Anyone that is so desperate for a particular thing, when He gets it, no good will come out of it. Tinubu has sold his conscience because of Presidential ambition. He even sold his soul to the devil. Will you vote the devil as your president when you are hoping to get out of the mess Buhari has put you in.

Tinibu is hoping on his money and rigging he knows he can't win any free and fair election in Nigeria.

The solution is masked in the article unfortunately you didn't see it.
She's just saying, people shouldn't fall for Tinubu's spin doctors-An advice, if you ask me.

When solving a problem, one of the first things to do is identify the problem. In this case, Tinubu is one major cankerworm.
Besides, Nigeria doesn't need an Angel and Tinubu can't be trusted. His desperation made him endorse Buhari twice.
We have a lot of Nigerians across ethnic divides who can pilot this nation to greatness.
Talking about Tinubu is a no-no

So if Tinubu drop out of the presidential race, Nigeria will automatically be piloted to greatness.

One man can NOT be the problem of Nigeria and one man can NOT make Nigeria great

You see your small brain?
You want her to give you an alternative candidate and solutions to the problems Tinubu caused.
So you can say she is painting Tinubu black just to make her preferred candidate acceptable.

You deserve a knock on your coconut head.

The presidential election is an ELECTION and an election,by nature is essentially a CONTEST.

It's NOT a referendum where voters will vote on whether Tinubu is good or bad.

There will be several other people who are putting themselves forward for the electorates to choose them. If Tinubu is not good, there must be another contestant who is good.

I even think atiku is less corrupt than him.

And I will never vote for atiku.

Then start campaigning for that Alhaji/Chief/ Senator with higher morality and let the people choose whoever they like. It's very simple.

What ax?!! When did speaking the truth become hate?!!

Personally, I have nothing against Tinubu other than the fact that he was willing to sacrifice the peace, lives, and progress of millions of his own countrymen on the altar of his personal presidential ambitions!

He, more than most, knew that Buhari had absolutely nothing to offer, yet backed him just to have a shot at occupying that position after 8 years! It never crossed his mind the risk of the nation imploding within that time frame.

Bros, start campaigning for Omoyele Sowore, Anyim Pius Anyim, Kingsley Moghalu, Yul Edochie, Atiku or Yahayah Bello.

Any one of these is free from all the negatives in Tinubu and can take Nigeria to the promise land

The writer did their job, warn Nigerians the same way they were warned about Buhari. Oshiomole was once a patriotic Nigerian who led the NLC through many challenging times in the labor industry in the past, then he became Governor, then wanted to become godfather, the very thing he fought against in Edo state.

Tinubu had an alliance that imposed the worst President Nigeria ever had, twice. His sins could’ve been forgiven and seen as a mistake if he had backed out of supporting Buhari again in 2019, but no! He must impose the nightmare on Nigerians again, due to a selfish ambition to become President.

Can a particular citizen make somebody to become president?

Is Tinubu, a co-founder in APC expected to leave the candidate of his party and support the candidate of the opposition?

Journalism is about saying the truth and nothing more

She might not have a vested interest but did she put up facts?

Has the UAE, China and Singapore who were on same trajectory as Nigeria as at 1999 still on the same pace with Lagos which is said to be the height of Tinubu’s brilliance?

If Lagos is not a paradise, even with BAT and his protégé being there since 1999, what will change in his 8 years at the center that will make Nigeria a paradise?

1) UAE, China and Singapore are sovereign countries and it amount to poor journalistic accumen not to know the differences between Lagos which is a federating unit in Nigeria and sovereign countries.

2) The development of Lagos is relative to the development of Nigeria as a country.
Lagos can NOT develop in Isolation if the rest of Nigeria are still backward, just like your left hand can not be better fed than the rest of your body.

Obviously, Abimbola Adelakun is more educated and well informed to know these but politics happened!

3) What were the budgets and Human Development Indices (HDI)
of UAEChina and Singapore in 1999 compared to Lagos in 1999?

With heavy borrowings future generations will pay for, that is no big deal. Oil is $85 dollars today,so all those stories about dwindling oil price is hard to peddle. Somebody started this dispensation in 1999 with oil at $9 a barrel and external reserve of just about a billion dollars.

See yourself “oil is $85 today”. Is it the oil price of today the FG used and is using for infrastructural development nationwide.

It has happened several times at State levels where some candidates have become Governors without the support or even with strong opposition from their predecessors.

Tinubu is the best man for the job. He succeeded in removing criminal gangs from the street to motor parks and garages in South western Nigeria. He can do same with bandits, terrorists and kidnappers across the country.
Vote for him, he will stop medical tourism because all the government hospitals in Lagos is world class and he's a very young healthy man in his early 50's.
He will not blip Nigerian resources because the one stolen from Lagos is enough for him.
He will be better than buhari. He is Buhari's pro max,ie same product with little improvement in the erea of gathering political criminals across the country country as against only northern political criminals.
He will turn Nigeria to world powers. Same has been achieved in Lagos where agberos are the real powerful tools ready to conquer the world. I stand with Tinubu.
Then you stand with "Agberos"
