It cannot happen because we are not the same society. Our needs and wants are not the same.

Is that okay?

Mynd44:

And why is this a problem? It is food isn't it?

The ancestors of these people you hail hunted these fishes to almost extinction. Nigerians eat what 9-10 of these each year. What they are doing is penance for the greed of their parents, our people's eating of such small quantity does not put any strain on the ecosystem or their numbers.

Stop this self hating

An average Nigerian is smart by half but thinks he's got it all figured. Unaware of happenings around him and around the world. Blames all but himself for his ill luck, ends up hating himself.
Pls preach @ boldened

Nigerians don't value human life not to mention that of an animal.

The question should be "Can you (OP) help return a Whale/Shark back into the water?
Your answer to my question is the answer to your question.

Firstly, Whom do you refer to as "these people"? if you mean the faroe islanders/japanese,then you should know that there has been decades-long international backlash/pressure on them to abandon such primitive practices. And please no pretence and dancing around the issue: Poverty and underdevelopment and lack of awarenss/illitracy play a role in the attitudes we as Africans exibit towards endangered species .

Who caused them to he endangered? Cant be Nigerians.

Again, Nigerians eat at most 10 beached animals yearly…this does not endanger any specie

The problem in Nigeria isn’t hunger but a death of anything moral, sensible and selfless.

Do u think those who returned that creature back into d waters don't like the food too? U think it's only in Nigeria that they kill animals or endanger them? Let me tell U, it's because they have laws that forbid them from killing it that's why it's as if they are friendly to those animals. They know that if they kill the animal they will be prosecuted.
I know some cultures in Nigeria that don't kill or eat particular animals like monkey, snakes, crocodile , fishes from a particular river...etc. So when u see people from such cultures save such animals does it make them more sensible than others who kill it?

Oyibo had brainwashed you guys so much. They will soon bleach your brains too.
